Today is Pentecost - the Sunday when we celebrate the true birth of the church. When the Holy Spirit came in power to grow Christ's followers and His church.
A while ago we were invited to make/colour butterflies that would be used in church today. I made quite a few, some using my Scan n cut and others using Sizzix dies that I've had for years and years. I used a variety of 12" x 12" papers for the larger butterflies that were cut using the Scan n cut and scraps from those to cut the smaller butterflies using the yellow sizzix die and the smaller ones using the green one.
All the butterflies that were made and given have been used to decorate the front wall of the church ... there's such a variety of beautiful butterflies. To see these and to find out why butterflies were used for today, Pentecost Sunday, I'd like to invite you to watch the service from church on this youtube link: https://youtu.be/knS5yerD0kU
These are the butterflies made using my Scan n cut, with some decorated and embossed using Embossalicious folders. All butterflies were made using double sided paper, so some could be used either way.
These are the small ones using the Sizzix dies: These were cut using scraps from the bigger butterflies, again being decorated back and front.
I'd like to share these for the following challenges:
