Suzy Bee's Bloomin' challenge 104
This is my card for today's Suzy Bee's Bloomin' challenge 104: anything goes with a twist ... shabby chic. Please click on the link to see the designs of other team members and join in the challenge.
I decided to make a DL card for a change because I thought it was show off the punched edging well against the gold, using a Martha Stewart punch on to a piece of pearlised patterned paper. The image was kindly supplied by Dazzling Ace Designs, sponsor of the challenge. Flowers from Hobbycraft and other bits from stash. Very difficult to see in the photo, but there is some cream lace rub on on the left hand side.
This is also for:

Sorry for my lack of blogging
I'm so sorry that I haven't been blogging - special apologies to teamies of DTs that I'm on. I've managed to keep up with most of them, but have failed to show the designs on here. I just wish there were more hours in the day ... although I haven't got enough energy for the hours that we do have. Since moving in we've had quite a bit of work done and deliveries of furniture etc. The kitchen floor should be done tomorrow and then someone will have to come back to put plinths on and a bit of snagging here and there ... oh, and some corner shelves to go up - nearly forgot about them.
We had some furniture delivered a couple of days ago - was going to be for the bedroom, but we decided it was more suited to the spare room, which is my craft room and also John's office (just a tiny bit of the room - lol!).
So we have more furniture being delivered on Friday for the bedroom, after which I'm hoping we'll be able to get more sorted ... and eventually have some normality!
We have a new dining table that's going to be here soon and then we need to order chairs, but that won't be disruptive.
Attention needs to be given to the pink blind in the craft room which decided to crash down a week or two ago. And we need a replacement toilet seat (must look around for one) and bedside cabinets ordered once we know what remaining space we have when the new furniture is in. Then we're having lights fitted above the bed ... have had to wait till we know where the central point will be.
I know I've rabbited on, but most of this is really for reminders for myself ... I doubt anyone will actually read this!
This is meant to be a crafting blog and I hope that it will be that again very soon!

Mid month inspiration for CHNC challenge extra for October ...
... and a very late card for my CHNC challenge 250: vintage/shabby chic.
As regular readers will know, I've been away from my blog and crafting (very rare for me) because we've moved home and are in the middle of trying to get sorted, plus, this is now day 3 of having the kitchen altered ... so we have things all over the place more than ever!
But I did manage to make this card today. The background paper was from a magazine freebie. The frame mat and the glittered picture are old ones from Kanban and the 'thin daisies' from Poundland.
This is for mid month inspiration for my CHNC challenge extra for October - please have a look at the lovely design inspiration from the rest of my team and we would love you to join in our challenge.
Every Saturday I launch a new challenge on my CHNC blog and for challenge 250 the theme is vintage/shabby chic - this can be very loosely interpreted - as usual, there are lovely prizes to be won - please have a look and join in the challenge. I'm adding this card there.

The Glory of Christmas challenge 69
This is my design card for the Glory of Christmas challenge 69: green and gold. Please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and join in our challenge.
I can't remember what papers I used, except to say that they were offcuts (I made the card before we moved so it would be on time for the challenge, but can't find the papers now). The reindeer stamp heat embossed with gold detail is a favourite Christmas stamp. Sentiment square is Anna Griffin and circle from Craftwork cards. All papers matted on to matt gold card.

Suzy Bee's Bloomin' challenge 100
This is my design card for Suzy Bee's Bloomin' challenge 100: anything goes with a twist ... embossing (wet or dry). Please click on the link to see the lovely designs of the rest of the team and please join in our challenge.
Getting my card made was a mix of frustration and fun in unequal measures, trying to get to a box that's under umpteen other things, not being able to find one pair of scissors (I can usually find a dozen pairs) - had to resort to using kitchen scissors - and couldn't find a box of card to have a piece to print on, so printed on a patterned piece instead ... but, strangely, have ended up with a card that I quite like (although I can't get a decent picture of it ... oh well, you can't have it all - lol!). I used two different A4 Embossalicious embossing folders, one for the background and one for matting the printed out of Stitchy Bears Digi Outlet Coosty Creations 'calla lily' (Stitchy are sponsoring the challenge).
So, here is the card with the mat under the lily print out looking far too dark - it's not black, it's green:

No stamping
'No stamping' is the theme for the Christmas cards all year round October challenge - please click the link to see the lovely designs of the rest of the team and join in our challenge - and, don't forget: no stamping!
I made four quick cards using Hunkydory supplies:
A bit more time to craft challenge 5
This is my design card for A bit more time to craft challenge 5: anything goes, with Delicious Doodles. The title of the challenge blog is a bit ironic atm because I haven't got any time to craft, so it's good that I made my card well in advance. Please click on the challenge link to see the rest of the team's lovely designs and we would love you to join in our challenge.
I used one of Lozzy's Friday Freebie Big Love papers and Delicious Doodles A Slice Of Cake adding the black hearts design which is actually acetate based but difficult to see here, with another piece on the silver balloon tied with a lovely silver trim. The cute little dolly is one of a collection I had ages ago.
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper October challenge
It's time for a new month's challenge and wow, doesn't time tick by so quickly ... and here we are at the beginning of October.
This is my design card for my Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper October challenge - please click on the link to find out what it's all about and use up some of that hoarded patterned paper to join in with your entries. Also please take some moments to admire the lovely designs of my team.
I used some lovely Dovecraft cupcake boutique papers and some jade coloured mirror card as backing for all the pieces.
Pets
This is my design card for Fan-tastic Tuesday challenge 105: anything goes with a twist ... pets. Please click on the link to see the lovely designs of the rest of the team and join in our challenge.
I used a Dazzling Ace Designs image (kindly supplied by the challenge sponsor) matted on to black mirror card and then on to some paper from PDA with the lovely paw print grosgrain material down the side and the cute cat button at the bottom left of the image. The sentiment was generated on my Dymo letratag.
CHNC challenge 248: stick it down
Despite everything being packed up on Saturday, I still had my computer that day and I had scheduled my CHNC challenge 248: stick it down, but I failed to blog this here.
So, here goes: this is my card for my CHNC challenge 248 (please click on the link to find out more about this and join in with your entries) - a simple card made with My Mind's Eye papers and some stickers.
Faux stitching
Having moved home on Sunday, not surprisingly, my blog has been neglected and I have big apologies to make to my fellow teamies on the challenge blogs that I've consequently neglected. I did get up to date with commenting on entries to challenges just before the move, but haven't managed to since Sunday.
We still haven't got any broadband connection or landline,, but hoping this will be put in tomorrow morning. I've at least got a dongle so I can get some internet access.
So, here, at last, is my design card for Suzy Bee's Bloomin' challenge 99: anything goes with a twist ... real or faux stitching. My card is very simple with some faux stitching on some embossed black on to which I've matted the Sassy Studio 'don't open till Christmas' image (Sassy Studio are the sponsors of the challenge). We would love you to join in and please click the challenge link to see the lovely designs of the rest of the team.
