When I started Suzie's 365 photos at the beginning of the year I was determined that I would take a photo every day - it all went (more or less) well until 22 July - because I had shingles I just couldn't concentrate or bother to take the photos, so I have lagged behind. Over the past week or so I've been getting together photos for the prompts I've missed and now I'm just about ready to catch up.
I don't expect anyone to take any notice of this because if you started at the beginning I'm sure you would be asleep by the end of the blogpost, so this really is just for my own benefit.
So, here goes:
Day 204: one:
Day 205: nine:
Day 206: 1, 2, 3:
Day 207: multiples:
Day 208: infinity:
Day 209: fire:
Day 210: rings:
Day 211: heavy - it's amazing how heavy reams of paper can be:
Day 212: dive (cheating a bit, but the swan had just dived!):
Day 213: stronger - John's definitely stronger than I am:
Day 214: faster (everyone seems to get faster and faster these days - people dashing here there and everywhere in the shopping centre or eating 'fast' food):
Day 215: point:
Day 216: joy - Mum on her 90th birthday:
Day 217: anger - this is a set up of John trying to look angry (he doesn't really do 'angry') - I was laughing so much I couldn't get a better photo - I gave up in the end because every time I tried he was smiling instead of looking angry:
Day 218: happiness:
Day 219: frustration - I think Chloe was getting frustrated at not being able to get further:
Day 220: relief - relief to find somewhere to sit down!:
Day 221: hope - Faye hopes her meal will come soon!:
Day 222: determination - John is only walking again after much determination, considering he couldn't move at all three years ago:
Day 223: higher:
Day 224: gold:
Day 225: exhaustion:
Day 226: silver - with red at Christmas:
Day 227: bronze:
Day 228: unity - sisters (not a clear photo, but I still love it):

Back to school with a notebook
This is a quick notebook, using one that is ready made, covering with a piece of holographic card that I've had for ages and 3D stickers which were originally from Poundland. There are lots of 'back to school' challenges atm - when I was teaching I would have cringed at this because I didn't want to think about going back to school at this stage - lol!
This is for:

CHNC challenge 86: include a building
It's time for a new challenge on my CHNC blog and for challenge 86 this week I'm asking to see a building or part of a building on your Christmas cards.
For my card I've used a Digi Doodle Shop digital image kindly supplied by them - they are sponsoring my challenge 86. The image is called Christmas church and I've just lightly coloured the sky with copic B60 pale blue grey and used this as well to highlight some of the snow.
I've used the sketch for Christmas cards with sketches 37 - to see the sketch please click on the link.
I've used lots of offcuts from my Christmas box - the sketch was ideal for this - just squeezing in one more card for Pixie's crafty snippets 33 before Di closes the gates!
I kept to blues for:
Twisted Tuesday 19: are you blue? Twist: try to use only one other colour beside blue - silver
Annabelle:
Also for Charisma cardz 32: monochrome
This is also for Just some lines: layer it up

Dogs are the best
For this card I've used a quote from a film:
'Dogs are the best. Every time you come home they act like they haven't seen you in a year.'
The Negotiator (1998) - Lieutenant Danny Roman
I've used the quote for today's Daring cardmakers challenge: film quotes.
Years ago I wouldn't have agreed with this - I hadn't been used to having a dog until I married John, who had a lovely dog at the time. For a while we were without a dog and then John got his first guide dog, followed by a second one ... but sadly had to say goodbye to Josey because of John's deteriorated health, so now we are without a dog.
This is also for Less is more 80: one layer fur or feathers. As the card need to be one layer I printed the quote - I had a few goes with paper first to make sure I got it in the right place when I used the card - and it worked!
The stamp is a favourite (because it looks like Josey) - I coloured the image with a couple of copics.
This is also for:
Kreative Basel 4: animals/pets
Little red wagon 146: dog days of summer
Dutch dare 178: furry friends

You are my world
That's what it says on this image from the Kanban Gentleman's Journal kit which has been distressed with vintage photo ink, as has the torn edges of the piece across the bottom. This piece was originally part of a folder which has been recycled to use on the card.
The edges of the main Kanban compass card have been distressed with tea dye with a hint of vintage photo. The compass card was another offcut, so this is for Pixie's crafty snippets 33, also Hiding in my craft room 58: super scraps Saturday and Squiggle stamps: stash attack

Clear it out: one for the boys - 2 or more patterned papers

My own card recycled
I made this card a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't feel entirely happy about the sea - I liked the effect I got with the Radiant rains, but I wasn't sure about the way I'd cut the waves (think I made a better job when I made this card).
So I decided to take the 'sea' off the replace it with some torn pebbly paper (I had a snippet of this left from another beach card).

Building sandcastles
For this card I used an offcut of DCWV summer paper along with a snippet of torn paper across the bottom. The main image and the strip across the top with beachballs, buckets and spades and sandcastles were taken from Publisher clipart. I used a couple of snippets of sticky ribbon top and bottom of the strip across the top of the card.
This is another card for Pixie's crafty snippets 33, also Hiding in my craft room 58: super scraps Saturday, Squiggle stamps: stash attack and Waste not Wednesdays 28. And it's also for Just us girls 149: use up those ribbon scraps.

WOYWW 167
I haven't done any crafting today - we were up at Guy's this morning for appointment for John and then had to go into Bromley when we got back (we had a nice lunch as well) ... and now I'm tired, but here is the state of my desk as it was left last night - I'm showing this, of course, because it's Wednesday (soon to be Thursday) and time for WOYWW 167.
DCWV paper pads - you can see the remains of the piece of paper that was used to make this card and this card last night - and that's why the green and blue copics are there too and the distress inks and brushes etc on the far left. There are a few cards lurking at the back from the remainder of the big pile that I had last week - I made an effort on Monday and put inserts into about 70 cards and bagged and labelled - I'm now left with the'awkward' ones - the ones that aren't the 'normal sizes'.
You can see the container lurking in the background still housing some Christmas decoupage etc, box of envies left out since bagging lots of cards on Monday. A big old envie to house all the bits and pieces of paper for the recycling bin, and a few other bits and pieces, including a printed digi stamp from Meljen which I digitially coloured in Paint - it was meant for a challenge, but I missed the deadline, so it's now waiting for me to have inspiration to use it ...
So there is my boring space this week - please visit WOYWW 167 and you'll see all sorts of different workspaces ... and hopefully join in and show yours.

Up, up and away ...
It's been a busy day, but I just had to end it by making a card.
'Up, up and away' is the theme for 4 crafty chicks 102. I chose a corner of a 12 x 12 DCWV Mariposa stack paper, adding stamped butterflies (the small one is Hero Arts, but the others are unknown makes that I've had for ages), coloured with copics, with turquoise gems added.
The background paper was already green and turquoise, so I just kept to that colour theme for Paper minutes 230: turquoise and lime with butterflies.

Sweet treats
This is the card for my second week as Guest Designer at Tuesday Throwdown, this time for their challenge 111: sweet treats.
I was given the lovely mygrafico cupcake image to work with, so I decided to use mini versions to decorate the background of the card as well as a main image, all coloured with copics. The papers that I've used to mat on to are actually offcuts of Christmas paper from the K & Co secret Santa collection, so this is another card for Pixie's crafty snippets 33, also Hiding in my craft room 58: super scraps Saturday, Squiggle stamps: stash attack and Waste not Wednesdays 28. I then used various flowers, gems and ribbon to finish the card.

Papillons
The papillons picture I've used here was supplied for City crafter 121: let's do it again.
The background paper is DCWV from the Mariposa stack (I do love this - I have the 12 x 12 and the 8 x 8) - taken from the top quarter of a 12 x 12. The tape is Tim Holtz - for Crazy amigo: washi tape, coloured with shabby shutters distress ink and this was also used for the edges of the paper and the Papillons picture using an inkylicious in blending brush (this gets a softer look than using cut and dry or similar).

The background for this card was made with the piece cut off from a card shown earlier, so this is another for Pixie's crafty snippets 33, also Hiding in my craft room 58: super scraps Saturday, Squiggle stamps: stash attack and Waste not Wednesdays 28. All I needed to do was to add a few bits, a sentiment and some bows and the card was done.

Home for Christmas
When I saw the photo inspiration Holly jolly Christmas this week, it was the fireplace that really caught my eye and brought back childhood Christmas memories.
So I chose a picture from the Hunkydory Christmas classics called ' a Christmas welcome' and chose background card that had some Christmas greenery.
And I used the sketch for Penny's 88:

And I used the sketch for Penny's 88:
And, as there's food involved, this is another for my own CHNC challenge 85: festive food or drink.

Metallic Christmas
For this card I've used some pieces from the Hunkydory Elegant Christmas adorable baubles, matting on to some snowflake card and embossing a strip of gold mirror card with a Creative Expressions crackle folder.
This is for the sketch for Always playing with paper Merry Monday 27:
Also based on this photo inspiration given for Winter wonderland this week:

Ginger spoon
'Ginger spoon' is the name of the digital image that I've used - it was supplied by Bugaboo Stamps, sponsors of my CHNC challenge 85 this week, so this is another card for that.
This is also for Kerry's sketch for the fortnightly challenge for the Christmas Card Club (names of those involved on my sidebar - if you're interested in joining, please contact Clare):
The main background paper is DCWV and the other pieces are from my offcuts - so this is the first opportunity of the week to join in with Pixie's crafty snippets 33, also Hiding in my craft room 58: super scraps Saturday, Squiggle stamps: stash attack and Waste not Wednesdays 28.
The scalloped circle is a nestie die cut. I distressed edges with brown corduroy ink and added some Prima gems and a piece of spotty ribbon. The image was digitally coloured in Paint before printing.

Christmas cocoa tag
I don't often make tags, but I am sometimes asked for them at Christmas, so thought perhaps I ought to get some done.
For this I've used a ready coloured Meljen's designs image called 'Christmas cocoa', tearing the edges of the card and distressing first with shabby shutters and then gently with broken china distress ink. I then took a scrap piece of yellowish card and brushed the edges with the two distressed inks and then stamped a variety of snowflakes using broken china ink, from one of my favourite Christmas stamp sets - 'doodle frames holiday' by Inkadinkado.
I found a scrap of ribbon that matched up - it's a blend of yellow, green and blue - to complete the tag - I glued it gently because it would have been two thick to knot.
This is for:
Meljen's designs 122: tags
Robyn's fetish 119: tags
The sisterhood of crafters: tag you're it
Cute card Thursday 229: tag you're it
Dutch dare 177: tag you're it

Sweet stamps 77: stamped background

Another card for CHNC challenge 85
This is another card for my CHNC challenge 85: festive food or drink.
This time I've used the 'ginger bowl' digital image kindly supplied by Bugaboo Stamps, colouring with copics.
I've used the sketch for Fetch a sketch 30:
The white, blue and black background paper is DCWV and the other papers are Echo Park falling snowflakes (double sided).
The reindeer ribbon is some that I got from a local market a while ago, the sentiments are Craftwork cards.
All corners have been rounded with an Xcut punch.

CHNC challenge 85
Saturdays seem to come round quicker and quicker, so here we are again with another new challenge on my CHNC blog - today for challenge 85 I'm asking to see festive food or drink.
For my first card I've used the Bugaboo Stamps 'cupcake candycanes' image, kindly supplied by Bugaboo, who are sponsoring my CHNC challenge 85. The image was coloured with copics.
Papers are all from the K & Co Secret Santa collection - I used offcuts (it's a 12 x 12 collection of papers, so plenty of offcuts are left over once a paper is cut into), so this is for Pixie's crafty snippets 31 and Squiggle stamps: stash attack (the papers are old and need using!).
This is also for:
Tabitha's designs: Christmas in July
Creatalicious 36: Christmas in July
