Gold for an angel
When my new CHNC challenge 120 started on Saturday I said I would be back with another 'wonderful wings' card using a stamp kindly supplied by one of the sponsors, Flonz Craft. Most of the week has gone by and I've only just got round to making the card.
I've based in on the sketch given for Merry Monday 58 on Always playing with paper (I like to try and support other Christmas challenge blogs as much as possible):
The pearlised panels at the sides of the card and on which the angel image was stamped with versamark and heat embossed with gold detail powder was from my offcuts box, as were the little pieces that were cut with my fishtail die (these are already proving to be so handy and well worth buying) The gold mirror card panel was embossed using the A4 embossing folder that came with my eBosser, which was then mounted on to some matt gold card from Create and Craft. The gold glitter strips are from Paper Cellar.
As is always the case with mirror card, this was very difficult to get a photograph, so this is the best I could do - unfortunately, it doesn't show the sheen caused by the gold embossing on the image.

CHNC challenge 120: wonderful wings
Can you believe that it's Saturday again?! Having blogged loads of cards in the last couple of weeks, I've had a couple of days break ... well, sometimes, life just takes over - lol!
So here I am with CHNC challenge 120: wonderful wings - the idea is to make a Christmas card that features wings in some way - perhaps an angel, a fairy, a bird, a butterfly ... or any other ideas.
I followed the sketch for Merry Monday 57 on Always playing with paper:
This was an opportunity to use one of the dies that I used for last week's CHNC card - I'm sue I'm going to be using these Die-namics fishtail dies again and again - use the largest one for this card. Papers are all offcuts, most of them left over from last week's card (double sides MME papers, so extra mileage out of them). The image is an angel one kindly given by Bugaboo Stamps who are sponsoring CHNC challenge 120. Everything was mounted on to a kraft card blank.

Ruby wedding anniversary
I was asked to make a Ruby wedding anniversary card. I have to confess that I re-purposed some bits from a couple of cards I made long ago and didn't really like.
The spotted background was made with an embossing folder and the swirls with a stencil, using fired brick distress ink. The hearts were die cut using snippets and flowers from stash.

Christening card
I was commissioned to make a Christening card with the request that it have lots of pink, the child's name and a Bible verse.
I've used double sided Fancy Pants 'heavenly' paper from their Key Lime Pie range.
The Bible book shapes were cut with a nestie die. I used a little strip of white teddies (had these for years) as the stopper and the Forever Friends bear and other elements.
Inside I stuck a couple of glittered hearts with gems and the 'on your special day' sentiment.

Get well
A simple card made with a blue card blank mottled with some pinky purple. The panel on the left was created using alcohol inks - wild plum and stonewashed blue with some blending solution, then matted on to silver mirror card, with the addition of some flower stickers and a silver edged sentiment.
The bottom of the panel looks crooked, but it isn't, it's somehow the angle of the photo.

Tag cards
I found up five patterned card blanks that I had ages ago and also five tags that I'd cut from some spotted card using a Sizzix red die. I inked around the edges of the tags, although you can't see that very clearly here.
