Cheerful Stamp Pad challenge 70 - second week

This is my second tag for the Cheerful stamp pad challenge 70, which is just beginning it's second week, so there is still plenty of time to play along (to link your entries, please go to challenge 70 week1) - and please visit the blog to see the wonderful crafting of the rest of the team.

For this tag I used one of the Edwardian children pictures kindly supplied by the sponsor of Cheerful stamp pad challenge 70: Lunagirl Vintage Images, digitally adding 'My sweetheart' and the phrase that says 'A rose speaks of love silently in a language known only to the heart.' The flowers around the tag are from my stash, as is the piece of sparkly netting used for the tie of the tag.

Merry Christmas

It was Maureen' s turn to choose the theme for today's Christmas Card Club challenge and she asked us to recycle something on to our card. I cut out a circle around a wreath that was rescued from an old card. I layered an offcut of vellum that has shiny embossed lettering, adding a piece of ribbon to match with the glittered holly berries. I wrapped the vellum around the back of the card, edging with a piece of the red ribbon.

CHNC challenge 145: picture inspiration

It's time for a new challenge on my CHNC and for CHNC challenge 145 I've supplied this lovely picture of a painting by Loyd Fannin: Bethlehem Nativity:
Loyd Fannin's Bethlehem Nativity water colour painting
I'm asking everyone to take inspiration from this picture - use the colours or anything that the picture suggests - depicting some part of the nativity story perhaps.

For my card I've used paper and glittered elements from a My Paper Stash Library kit, on to a shaped card that I won for a challenge recently. I had to cut the paper around the card shape, then sanded lightly and inked with copic BV17, running this along the top of the card as well.

Love birds

Very simple cards made from recycled fronts of wedding invitation and order of service, inserting some love birds cut from place setting cards, mounted on to some gold card. The 7 x 5 card blank is gold.

The landscape shaped one wasn't that shape originally, but I used a blank and cut round it.

This time the lovely little girls are hanging up their stockings on Christmas Eve and Santa is handing out presents to the children, while the children in the bottom right are going out to carol sing.

For this stepper card I've used snippets of Kanban card left over from a kit from last year and some miscellaneous pictures and an Anna Griffin sentiment. The glittered white flowers are Prima.

Guest slot for Tok Bobok 4: autumn

I was delighted to be invited to be a guest designer for Tok Bobok 5: autumn/fall. Please click on the link to see what the team have created and join in with the challenge.

I stamped Penny Black 'fantasy tree' with memento rich cocoa on to a piece of autumnal paper. This stamp isn't specifically one to be used for autumn, but I added spots of yellow, orange, red and brown with copics. This was then cut with a nestie and mounted on to die cut circles. This was then mounted on to a piece of bronze pearlised card that had been embossed with an Embossalicious 'tumbling leaves' folder with my eBosser which had been wiped with some deep red and golden light metallic gilding wax - unfortunately doesn't show up too well on a photo.

CHNC challenge extra for October

I can't believe that this card is for October! already! This year is going mega quickly. If you haven't started on your Christmas cards now is the time to get your skates on - and what better way than to enter my CHNC challenge extra for October where there is the chance for you to be the randomly chosen winner of £21 of digital images from Bugaboo Stamps who kindly sponsor.

My card is very simple, using printed digital snowflake paper and Noel image, both supplied by Bugaboo Stamps with a piece of lace edged ribbon across the top and a few silver (although they look gold here, they are silver) mirror punched snowflakes. The Noel image was digitally coloured in Microsoft Paint.

Cheerful Stamp Pad challenge 70: tags

This is my design team tag for Cheerful stamp pad challenge 70:  tags. This challenge is being sponsored by Lunagirl Vintage Images. This is really a fun challenge. You can have any type of theme you wish, just put it on a tag. If you happen to have an Lunagirl images, we would love to see you use them.

For this tag I used one of the pictures kindly supplied by Lunagirl, one of their labels 'woman called Anita', digitally blending this with a Dezinaworld music rose background. I printed this and mounted it on to a tag that I had lightly brushed with mustard seed and fired brick distress inks. Flowers and ribbons from stash.

More baubles for The Glory of Christmas 17

Having messed up a bit with the first card I made as my design card for The Glory of Christmas challenge 17,  I inked, stamped and embossed once more and this time it was fine. This was then mounted on to a piece of foiled Hunkydory card and then on to the A5 landscape card blank.

Please click on the link for the challenge and admire the lovely crafting of the rest of the team, including a new member, Tanja - and please join in with our challenge.

The Glory of Christmas challenge 17

This card was going to be for The Glory of Christmas challenge 17, I've used the lovely Papermania Bauble Decoration stamp.

When I stamped the image for the first card the sentiment 'Christmas Cheer' lost a bit of the 'Cheer' on the bottom edge! I didn't want to waste this so I decided to separately stamp the sentiment and mount it on to silver mirror card to match the piece surrounding the image. Everything was inked with versamark and heat embossed with detail silver powder. A couple of strips of glittery silver on the left finished the card off. This is an A5 landscape card - the image is quite large, so needs a large card blank.

Purple power

This is my design team card for The sweet pea stampers 'purple power' challenge that starts today. This will be open for the next two weeks. Please click on the link and see the gorgeous crafting of the rest of the team. We would love to see your 'purple power', using a Sweet Pea image if you have one, but, if not, join in with any image.

The shaped card blank was already decorated with a lilac pattern.I used Elaine Cox's Black Butterfly Fairy rubber stamp inked with memento tuxedo black and coloured with copics. I mounted the cut out on to two pieces of offcut papers, rounding the corners of the larger one. Organza ribbon and flowers from stash. I didn't add a sentiment, but think perhaps one could be put at the bottom.

Garden gate

A simple card using a shaped blank with distressed edges. The image is one that I stamped and coloured a long time ago and never used. It's a La Pasche foam stamp that was coloure with distress inks. This is then framed with a frame that was part of a Kanban kit long ago.
