Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper July challenge

I made two cards for my Patterned Paper July challenge (if you haven't discovered this yet, please click on the link ... and you will also see the lovely creations of my new DT).

I used Kaisercraft confetti papers using two pieces to cut out the swirls and birds (interchanging the pieces) and others for the backgrounds.

The die cuts were created with the lovely Brenda Walton Bird Scroll BigZ by Sizzix (I confess I bought this at a bargain price quite a while ago and this is the first time I've used it). The sentiments were computer generated and printed on to other pieces of the Kaisercraft paper.

CHNC challenge extra for July

Another month begins and that means a new CHNC challenge extra. It seems incredible that we are now into the second half of 2015 and in many ways it feels as if it's only just started - it's true that the older you get, the quicker it seems to go.

Anyway, here is my card for CHNC challenge extra for July, using AKV Christmas - girl tree by Bugaboo Stamps, sponsor of the challenge. This was coloured digitally in Microsoft paint.

Papers are random pieces of offcuts, with just the addition of a couple of poinsettias from Hobbycraft.

I used Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet 'just a rose' image (they are the sponsors of the challenge), colouring with Chameloen pens with a computer generated sentiment - keeping this as a CAS one layer card.

As usual, difficult getting picture of a card with a lot of white space.

Rudolph Day

Determined not to miss June's Rudolph Day, so this is a card simply made with a background on to which sparkle medium was used through an Imagination Crafts 'Bethlehem' mask - simply, but quite effective, mounted on to some deep plum mirror card and then an 8 x 8 card blank.

I took a short cut and used Hunkydory supplies from their Stylish Season pack, with a piece of Kanban presents paper on the background of the second card. I made two to try and make up a bit for the short cut! To be honest, it's been a very busy time lately, so this was all I could do. The added bonus for me is that there is a lot of purple, my favourite crafting colour.

Holy night

This is my design card for my CHNC challenge 235: two words.  I've used the lovely Fresh Brewed 'Oh Holy Night' image, kindly supplied by them as one of the sponsors. I coloured the image with spectrum noir pens, cut out and mounted on to a piece of Hunkydory card. The two words were generated on my Dymo letratag.

Give a girl the right shoes ...

... and she can conquer the world.

I printed and cut out two shoes from Lunagirl's Fancy Footwork digital collage sheet mounting them on to a piece of paper with shoes (I've had this ages, originally from a magazine freebie). The pleated card, lace and flowers from my stash and the quote was generated on computer and printed.

This is a large square card, using a piece of Papermania 8 x 8 paper from their Parisienne capsule collection paper for the background and matting an offcut piece of Aspire 'sew pretty' paper on to this (yes, it's some of that paper pad again ... it was handy on my worktop and the colours went so well with the image. I just added a glittered strip and flowers from Hobbycraft.

I used Ching Chou Kuik's lovely butterfly digi from Sweet Pea Stamps - a lovely image that has been created in a zentangle style. I coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers(these had been neglected lately!). The background paper is one of Buckwells digital checkout papers, also some of their flowers and ribbon.

When I saw the beautiful shoes on the Lunagirl fancy footwork digital collage sheet, kindly given by Lunagirl as sponsor of this challenge, I couldn't resist using the red shoes and making a digital card based on The Wizard of Oz in which Dorothy clicked the heels of her red shoes and she followed the yellow brick road. The picture of Dorothy and her house is one that I found on the internet.

Crafting musketeers challenge 26: shades of summer

This is my design team B card for Crafting musketeers challenge 26: shades of summer. This is for the midway post - please click on the link to see the lovely summer designs by the rest of the team and join in our challenge here if you haven't already done so.

The background paper is some left over from a 'seaside' pack and the shaped piece was from Crafter's Companion - I printed directly on to this, embossing the print with clear powder because the card is glossy and it wouldn't have dried without smudging. I have had the two little dolls for longer than I remember and also the little flip flops.

Another card for CCAYR mid-month

I used snowman with poinsettia image from Beccy's Place snowman set (Beccy is sponsoring the challenge).

The background is a piece of Kanban card that was left over long ago, a snippet of organza ribbon and the image was put behind a Kanban frame from long ago. The flowers with brads were from Poundland.
