Suzy Bee's Bloomin' challenge 122

This is my design card for Suzy Bee's Bloomin' challenge 122: anything goes with a twist ...  friendship. Please click on the link to see the designs of others in the team and join in our challenge.

I used a picture and sentiment from Sparkle n Sprinkle coffee talks (Sparkle n Sprinkle are sponsoring the challenge). This was a pre-coloured image. Paper is by We R Memory Keepers (a double sided paper). The card is 8 x 8, giving space to show the image as a good size, adding ribbons by DCWV and shaped felt buttons from stash.

Crafting musketeers challenge 35: use three ribbons

This is my design card for Crafting Musketeers challenge 35: use three ribbons. I used a lovely chocolates one and two spotted ones, all supplied by Crafty Ribbons who are sponsoring the challenge. This was a commissioned card. Papers are all Die Cuts with a View and the two scalloped ovals were cut on my Scan n Cut. You can't see it in the photo, but the paper on the base and those used for the ovals are flittered and glittered. The chicks, eggs and bunny are chipboard  embellishments that I've had for a long time, originally from Poundland.

Fan-tastic Tuesday challenge 128

This is my design card for Fan-tastic Tuesday challenge 128: anything goes with a twist .... spring is in the air. Please click on the link to see the lovely designs of others in the team and join in the challenge.

I used a lovely butterfly image by The Stamping Boutique (sponsors of the challenge), colouring with spectrum noir pens. The background is some Hunkydory card - I used an extra piece to hot foil the Happy Birthday with my todo, adding ribbons, butterflies and flowers.  I hope the elements are spring-like enough to make up for using purple, my favourite crafting colour.

The glory of Christmas challenge 80

CHNC challenge 272: colour: gold ... a little or a lot

The theme for this week's challenge, as it's the 2nd Saturday in the month, is a colour: gold .. a little or a lot.
This is my card, featuring the lovely Crafts 4 eternity image Christmas cupcakes - combining three together (kindly supplied by one of my sponsors) coloured with copics and spectrum noir pens. There is a fair amount of gold on this card, which makes it difficult to photograph, especially as some is embossed mirror card:

I used Bugaboo Stamps flower block silhouette, changing the black to pink digitally, mounting the print out on to a piece of paper found in my offcuts box - the piece of card between the neutral colour lace was also an offcut. The felt bunny and peel off sentiment finish the card.

Let's craft and create challenge 111

This is my design card for Let's craft and create challenge 111: Easter. Please click on the link to see the beautiful designs of the rest of the team and we would love you to join in with your Easter projects.

I used the lovely Personal Impressions Easter stamp by Graham Pilkington, colouring with chameleon pens and cutting out by hand before adhering to the scalloped edge die cut. I then matted this on to the die cut with the cut edges, raising it up with a double layer of 3D foam, then matting this with two layers on to the torn yellow oval. The background with the chicks is vellum. I used a scrap of the striped yellow paper under the dimensional spring strip from Hobbycraft (quite a while ago).

More mixed media 'green' challenge

I create a journal page using Aqua tints paints, Pan pastels, Burlap flowers and butterflies sprayed with Cosmic shimmer misting ink, printed words heat embossed. The top background is a piece of cloudy paper that I've had for a long time.

For my card I've used Oddball Art Stamps Big eye girl Bonnie bookworm (Oddball are sponsoring the challenge), colouring with chameleon pens (about time I used them again). I used two of the X cut rectangular paranthesis dies to cut the image and the surrounding mat. Background papers are all from my offcuts box, including the sparkly piece of cream card that was embossed using a folder and wiped gently with gilding wax. Ribbon from stash.

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper March 2016 challenge

Can you believe that today is 1 March? It's time for the new month's Patterned Paper challenge - if you're not familiar with this, please click on the link to find out what it's all about and join in with your designs using some patterned paper. My card for the challenge is one that I made very recently for one of my great nephews. He had recently passed his driving test, so I thought the theme would fit, not only for his 18th birthday, but also for congratulating him on passing his test.

The main background was from Kanban long ago (waiting for the right moment to use it), with a torn piece of racing cars paper from PDA  card and craft. The photos are also Kanban.

CHNC challenge 270: use a sentiment

This is my card for my CHNC challenge 270, where the challenge this week is to use a sentiment on a Christmas creation. Please click on the link to see the prizes that are generously being given by sponsors and join in the challenge.

For my card I used two similar Anna Griffin papers, cutting some holly from one and sticking on to the other which had been hot foiled with the sentiment using my new Todo. The Anna Griffin papers were then mounted on to red mirror card and then on to the dark green card blank. The red gems are ones that I bought a few years ago at Poundland - they seem to be a funny shape for holly berries, but those that formed part of the paper designs were that shape. You can read about this card here on My Crafty Outlook. Difficult to see the foiling properly because of reflection, but the small piece shows how clearly the sentiment has foiled with the Todo:

Suzy Bee's Bloomin' challenge 119

This is my design card for Suzy Bee's Bloomin' challenge 119: anything goes with a twist ... fantasy. Please click on the link to see the lovely designs of the rest of the team and join in our challenge.

I used Fairy image from Nikki Burnette's Fantasy sheet No. 3, kindly supplied by the sponsor of the challenge.

The dark green mirror card background was embossed with a folder, as was the surround of the image. Glittered ribbon, burlap butterflies and flowers and gems from stash.

Fan-tastic Tuesday challenge 125

This is my design card for Fan-tastic Tuesday challenge 125: anything goes with a twist ... for a child. Please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and join in the challenge.

I used the lovely Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet Lil Diva digi fun in the jungle, colouring with spectrum noir pense and mounting on to a dark mirror card mat before mounting on to the 'giraffe' paper that I've had for ages. The sentiments are both textured rub ons.
