Calendar girls crafty challenge 1

Today sees the start of a new challenge blog: Calendar girls crafty challenge and I am delighted to say that I'm privileged to be on the design team.

These challenges will always start on the first Thursday of every month and finish on the last Wednesday.

The theme for challenge 1 is 'father's day'.

For my card I used the lovely Stamping Boutique pocket patootie frog digital stamp, kindly provided by them as sponsor of the challenge. The background paper was printed from one of Lozzy's mixed media digital papers. I coloured the image with spectrum noir pens and die cut using a Todo decorative oval die, brushing the edge with peacock feathers distress ink. I tore a piece of fishing theme paper from PDA card and craft. I finished off the card with the sentiment and the pearlised circle stickers from Paperchase.

A bit more time to craft

This is my design card for A bit more time to craft challenge 21, which, as usual, is 'anything goes'. Please click on the link to see the lovely designs of the rest of the team and we hope you will join in our challenge.

For my card I used Girl in flowers and Lozzy's digi papers from "Beauty + Flowers + Three" papers sets. I coloured the image digitally using Microsoft Paint before adding to the digital papers, printing out and adding the glittered pansies.

CHNC challenge extra for June 2016

This is my card for my CHNC challenge extra for June 2016, using  little penguin winter - winter bench kindly supplied by the sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps, colouring digitally using Microsoft paint. The background paper is , the glittery robin from Poundland a couple of years ago and some sentiment ribbon.

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper June challenge

CHNC challenge 283: use a sentiment

This is for my CHNC challenge 283: use a sentiment - please click on the link to see what it's all about - any sentiment, but it must be a Christmas design.

I used one of Lozzy's Christmas papers (kindly provided by Lozzy as one of our sponsors)  for the background of my card, wrapping some beautiful organza sparkly ribbon around some deep blue mirror card and adding a pyramage picture from Kanban bought years ago. The sentiment was computer generated and printed.

The glory of Christmas challenge 85

This is my design card for the Glory of Christmas challenge 85: home of Jesus' birth. My card is very simple, depicting the lovely Loyd Fannin's Bethlehem nativity scene, printed and stuck on some matt gold card before mounting on an A5 sideways opening black card blank.

Guest designer for Creative Craft Cottage challenge 64

I'm delighted to be a guest today for Creative Craft Cottage challenge 64: include an animal. I was supplied with the lovely Panda love image by Teri Sherman at ArtiDoodles (Delicious Doodles). I decided to keep to black, white and create, using a free vector bamboo background and creating the 'Keep Calm' panel, mounting on to a piece of black to match the card blank. The main background paper is a mottled ivory and grey parchment, wrapped with the paws ribbon, with three buttons added.

CHNC challenge 282: cute or anything goes as long as it's Christmas

This is for my CHNC challenge 282: cute or anything goes as long as it's Christmas. You might think it's still very early to be thinking about making Christmas cards, but some of us have been making them all year long - if you haven't done so already, please click on the challenge link and join in the fun - before we know it, we'll be half way through the year ... scary thought!

For my card I printed the hot cocoa snowman image kindly provided by one of the sponsors, Robyn's Fetish, colouring with spectrum noir pens - I tore the edges around a perspex oval  Papers are Fantastic Foils festive frolics, with a piece of red border that's been in my Christmas scraps box for ages. The 'ho ho ho' pieces are foiled silver.

Golden wedding

A simple design for a golden wedding card - very difficult to show gold mirror card - I know it looks grey in the picture, but it is indeed gold mirri as you can see in the right hand corner of the card, matted on to a matt gold card, wrapped with gold ribbon and topped with the gold leave with pearls and the sentiment panel.

For this card I used a lovely image kindly supplied by Dazzling Ace Designs,.I mounted some corrugated card and cream lace on to the DL kraft card blank, adding the Craftime flower and the Anna Griffin sentiment (the foiling on this is actually gold, not silver as it looks in the photo - and they say that the camera never lies - lol!)

This is my design card for the Glory of Christmas challenge 84: Christmas socks/stockings. This card was put together digitally using a frame and three different stockings that were saved on my computer long ago and I can't actually remember where they came from. I added the sentiment.

My card was simply made with an image supplied by one of the sponsors, Dazzling Ace Designs, die-cutting with a todo henna frame die which cuts a  frame as well as the image in the centre. I rounded the corners and matted on to a piece of gingerbread lane paper, with the addition of some Hobbycraft poinsettias.
