A friend commissioned me to make this birthday card. I used papers from my offcuts box, including the spotted red and whiteand blue and white. The image on this card is a download called 'whoosh' from Mo's Digital Pencil and was coloured with spectrum noir pens.

More mixed media challenge: anything goes + optional brown

This is my design creation for More mixed media challenge for September: anything goes + optional brown. Please click on the link to see the wonderful creations of the rest of the team and we would love you to join in our challenge with your mixed media crafting.

I used a 'Decorate your own bird' frame from The Works, painted with brown acrylic paint and stamped using a Papermania Clare Curd paisley stamp 'inked' with acrylic metallic bronze paint. I then daubed fingerprints in places and added the embellishments. I didn't have an appropriate photo, so I thought the birdie circle would be appropriate.

Crafting musketeers challenge 41: back to school

The image on my card is a pre-coloured back to school Dottie one from Charmed cards and crafts. I added this digitally on to a free clipart background, also adding the ABC with crayons that I made a long time ago and adding in the text. I then printed out and wrapped the card with the Happy, Happy, Happy ribbon.

Background paper is 7 gypsies 'adore' from collections for the journey on to which was matted a large label shape from Websters Pages. I knew that the recipient liked feathers on cards, so I added the purple one topped with a foiled todo rose (kindly sent with others from a todo crafting friend), adding the two sentiments.

A bit more time to craft challenge 27: anything goes

This is my design card for A bit more time to craft challenge 27 - please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the time and we hope you will join in our challenge.

This was a commissioned card - I was told that the recipient loves shoes and handbags, so I used a couple of Lozzy's mixed media papers on to which I matted a piece of The English Paper company paper purchased long ago. I cut out the shoes using the tattered lace 'hot off the catwalk delicate shoe die, having printed the paper twice so I could produce a left and right shoe.

The strip of squares across the bottom was cut from a 12 x 12 American crafts 'the color of memories' paper, on to which were added the glittery boots and handbags bought ages ago from Poundland. I added pearly flowers to the shoes and to the sentiment oval.

 I used another print of the paper to decorate the inside of the card:

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper August challenge

This is my design card for my Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper August challenge - please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of my team and we hope you will join in with your entries, using some of your pattern paper in whichever way you wish.

I made the card recently for a friend who has a lovely big ginger cat. The background paper is from PDA Card and Craft.

For my card I used SLS lines lazy house cat, coloured with spectrum noir pens and die cutting using a dogo die, using a smaller one for the printed greeting. Both were brushed with brown corduroy distress ink. A piece of grosgrain paws ribbon was used for the 'stopper' for the easel upright.

I used the lovely Penelope digi kindly supplied by Oddball Stamps as a sponsor of the challenge, colouring with spectrum noir pens and die cutting with an X cut parenthesis rectangular die, using a larger one to cut a scrap piece of paper (magazine freebie) for the background. The main background paper is another offcut from a magazine freebie, on to which I added a couple of ribbons and Hobbycraft flowers.

This is my design card for Penny's challenge 291: anything goes - please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and we would love to see your entries for the challenge.

I used the lovely Lacy Sunshine Christmas Boo image (Lacy Sunshine is one of the challenge sponsors - the other is The Paper Shelter. I coloured the image digitally before printing out, scribbling with quickie glue pen here and there and sprinkling some very sparkly Chloe glitter, then cutting with a todo cross hatch die, making a larger one with some DCWV paper, using another DCWV paper with some gloss for the background. Poinsettia flowers and sentiment ribbon from Hobbycraft. This is an A5 tent style card.

For my card I used an image kindly supplied by The Stamping Boutique, - Christmas ornament fairy, a sponsor of the challenge. For my card I've used one of my favourite Penny Black Christmas stamps called chill days, inked with memento tuxedo black and coloured with spectrum noir pens, with the fluffy parts of Santa's suit touched with a quickie glue pen and sprinkled with Art Institute glitter. Papers from a Cosy Christmas collection pad free with Quick Cards a couple of years ago and a piece of Hobbycraft ribbon for the sentiment.

Penny's challenge 290: anything goes

This is my design card for Penny's Paper-crafty challenge 290: anything goes.  Please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and we would love to see your entries there.

I used the lovely 'wait a minute' digital image by Little Blue Button (one of the sponsors of the challenge) colouring with copics (have been using spectrum noir pens so much that copics had got a bit neglected, so thought it was about time to use some again). All shapes were die cut with Todo cross hatch dies. I love that quote! The background papers, the matt gold foiled card and the white card were all offcuts. The little epoxy hearts are actually ligher than this irl.

Let's craft and create challenge 116: wedding/wedding anniversary

It so happens that recently I've been commissioned to make quite a few wedding or anniversary cards - in fact I have four more to make.

For this card I decided to make an easel. The frame at the top was from Kanban long ago. I printed the greeting and then used a todo letterpress to give the embossed effect, adding the flowers.

I covered the fancy edge with versamark and heat embossed with silver powder, then added the unknown paper (had it for ages and can't remember where it came from) with the added ribbon with sparkly rhinestones. A piece of ribbon wrapped and tied across the middle of the base and the hearts formed a stopper.
