Love to craft July challenge mid-month inspiration

I'm sharing a commissioned card that I made in May for a grandson of a friend. The background sentiment card is from Kanban. I found the circle image on the internet (it was free) and I cut it out on my Scan n cut. The computer generated sentiment and the surrounding gold mirror card were cut and embossed on the todo with two cross hatch dies.

Just for you

A simple card using Downton Abbey (Crafter's Companion) papers, a piece of laced ribbon, a vintage picture from a collection from The Works, with the bottom corners added. With the addition of the sentiment circle and the crocheted flowers, the card was completed (I didn't make the flowers ... they were bought from The Works).

Caroling penguins for CHNC

This is my card for mid-month inspiration for CHNC extra July 2017 - please click on the link to see the lovely designs of my team members and we hope you will join in the challenge here - anything goes as long as it's Christmas and you can enter as many times as you like.

The background was created by embossing a piece of mirror card using an Embossalicious folder and sanding to reveal some white core. The image is one of my favourite Penny Black Christmas stamps, caroling penguins, inked with memento tuxedo black and coloured with spectrum nor with quickie glue pen and Art Institute fine glitter on the furry bits of the Santa hats. This was die cut using an X cut rectangular parenthesis die. The greeting glittered circle was part of a kit bought ages ago.

I'm also sharing this card for my CHNC challenge 342 where it's anything goes as long as it's Christmas with the optional theme of 'use a die cut'. Please click on the link and join in as many times as you like ... and, remember, the theme is entirely optional.

This is my card for Christmas cards all year round July challenge:precipitation. I'm in the Christmas Belles group so we are posting here today - please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the Belles group. The Gingerbread gals posted at the beginning of July here - please have a look at their lovely designs and join in our challenge there.

I randomly stamped the lovely Inkadinkadoo stamped inked with versamark and heat embossed with detail silver (looks more like white here, but it is silver). I randomly stamped and embossed on to the white label and then added the sentiment label.

Commissioned girlie card

I was asked to make a girlie card for a daughter who loves fashion. I used an offcut of English Paper Company paper for the background and an offcut of the pink squared paper to back the picture which was upcycled from a notepad. The die cut shoe was cut with pink mirror card on the Scan n cut using the high heel glam image from a tattered lace USB  3 Typically Tattered Lace Pattern list.

Simple card made with a Crafters Companion Downton Abbey background paper and a 3D bird from an Anna Griffin collection - the sentiment label is also from the AG collection. The bird is mounted upside down ... he needs to feel better - lol!

Technology for a dude

This is a commissioned card I made a while ago, very similar to one I made before, using Kanban silver foiled greeting card as the background, a band of technology stuff taken from a 'daily to do' pad and the computer picture with the greeting and name generated on computer and printed. The card was completed with the corrugated strip.

WOYWW 423

It's ages since I joined in What's on your Workdesk, but I thought I'd call in at last, so here are my pictures for WOYWW 423. If you don't know what this is all about, please click on the link and have a look and join in the fun by showing what's on your workdesk and then having a look at the links to see everyone else's.

We moved at the end of September 2015. My craft stuff got put away as best as it could and I've never yet had the opportunity to fully sort everything ... I like to be organised and just haven't been able to do so because of other things going on in life, things that were priorities.

So, at long last, I've been having a more consistent sort out and am gradually getting everything where I want it. The aim is to have everything labelled so that I don't waste time looking for what I want to use.

Anyway, I'm hoping that very soon I'll be able to show the rest of my craft room with everything sorted and labelled. But in the meantime, here is my desk today. To the left of where I sit there's a card waiting to be written and posted, some Christmas greetings labels etc and three cards that have been made for DT challenges, the top one being for today's Penny's challenge 337 - you can read about the card here.

My much needed hayfever tablets are there, a USB fan that's very useful atm and other bits and pieces.

To the right of where I sit there are little piles of pieces of card, ribbons etc that still need to be sorted and put into the right place and a bag of waste paper bits for the recycling bin.

I hope to return again next week and show some more of my craft room. Now I'm off to link this for WOYWW 423 and then have a look at what others have been up to.

This is my design card for Penny's challenge 337, where the theme is anything goes. Please click on the link to see the lovely designs by the rest of the team and we hope you will join in with your entries.

I used the Little blue button image: everyone needs a hug, kindly supplied by them as sponsors of the challenge, coloured with spectrum noir pens and mounted with foam tape on to the shaped card, having used pieces of gingham trim and gems, although generating the sentiment on computer, printing and die cut with todo cross hatch die, edging with ink and raised up with foam pad.

For a niece's special birthday

I was commissioned to make a card for a friend's niece who was going to be 50, but without the number on it! I was asked to make it with a country garden theme.

I used a Hunkydory piece of card with a background garden scene (unfortunately, doesn't show up well here) and I put the country garden scene in the 'window' of the picture. I generated the greeting on computer, printed and die cut with a todo cross hatch die, using a bigger one to cut the gold mirror mat, both of them were embossed and the greeting panel was inked before taking out of the die.

The flower and butterfly strip was from Hobbycraft and the little 3D bird stickers from The Works.

Commissioned card for a knitter

I was asked to make a card for a lady who is the leader of a group of knitters who make things for charity (the picture of the socks was from their facebook group). As she is a keen knitter, I put the little pins/wool and other embellishments that fitted the theme. I printed the greeting and added some Hobbycraft flowers.

Girlie 60th birthday card

This is a commissioned card for a 60th birthday - I was asked to make it with a fashion theme, so I used an offcut of some English Paper company background paper (from long ago) andn offcut band of paper across the bottom bordered with ribbon and corrugated strip, with a glittered birthday tag and sentiment circle. Handbags and shoe were cut on the Scan n Cut using Tattered lace USB 8 The best of 2016 handbag boutique and shoe boutique  with hot pink mirror card.

Pink birthday

A commissioned card for a friend. The embossed card blank is part pink, with a distressed torn piece of offcut vellum down the left hand side and other offcuts used to back the floral picture, the checked paper having been die cut with a Spellbinders marvelous squares die.
