Let's craft and create challenge 130


This is my design card for Let's craft and create challenge 130: anything goes or option of witchy/ autumn colours. Please click on the link to see the lovely designs by the rest of the team and we hope you will join in our challenge.

I made this using different digital images, merging and fading in parts to make the scene.I was asked to make some halloween birthday cards, so this is one of them - they are going to be for grown up twin granddaughter and grandson, also cards for the same twins from other family members ... all with a halloween theme because the birthday is on 31 October.

I'm struggling to make suitable cards for the commissions because I don't usually 'do' halloween.

Love to craft October inspiration


This is my design card for Love to craft challenge 15 October anything goes - please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and to enter our challenge.

The roses were foiled and die cut using todo foiling and die cutting. The background card with hearts is an old piece from a Kanban kit long ago, as is the congratulations square. A padded heart, silver ribbons and the Anna Griffin sentiment finish off the card.

A bit more time to craft extra October challenge

For my card I used some of Lozzy's lovely fall papers - you can see Lozzy's lovely papers here - so many delightful papers - and you have the chance to win some by entering the challenge.

The colours went so ell with the lovely Elisabeth Bell topper. The sentiment was added digitally to a piece of one of the papers. 3D flowers and ribbins from stash.

For my card I used one of Lozzy's lovely dark wonder papers - you can see Lozzy's lovely papers here - and you have the chance to win some by entering the challenge. I added a randomly printed profile silhouette (from a Daphne's Diary magazine) altered from ivory by brushing with various distress inks. The 3D glittered butterflies were from The Works.

Do-al(l) kreatives challenge 10 for October


This is my card for Do-al(l) kreatives challenge 10 for October: Halloween - please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and we hope you join in our challenge.

Regular visitors who know me well will understand that I don't normally 'do' halloween, but, as a DT member, I made an exception for this.

I played around with a few digital images (free from a good search), including a dark hallow digital paper by Lozzy, here, fading, shading etc and then printed and added the decoupaged shiny owl with glittered wings mounted on the circle.

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper October 2017 challenge

CHNC challenge extra for October 2017


This is my design card for my CHNC challenge extra for October 2017 - please click on the link to see the inspirational designs by my team and we hope you will join in our challenge.

Now that we are beginning October, it's time to be a bit more serious about Christmas designs - I hope you will be able to join in our October challenge. ... it can be any creation as long as it's for Christmas and you can enter as many times as you wish.

The background card is from a Hunkydory kit bought long ago and the other elements are from an unknown kit that I'm still dipping into sometimes.

Bugaboo Stamps always generously sponsor my CHNC challenge extra and provide images for the team to use and showcase. The image I've used is Christmas jar, a pre-coloured one. I used papers from my Christmas offcuts box, a couple of felt stockings and the sentiments.The background paper has lovely sparkly snowflakes.

CHNC challenge 353


This is my card for my CHNC challenge 353 - please click on the link to see what it's all about and I hope you will join in with the challenge.  It seems unbelievable that tomorrow is 1 October ... we need to seriously get on with those Christmas designs now.

The optional theme for CHNC challenge 353 is 'black and white and one other colour'... but anything  goes as long as it's Christmas.

For my card I used the lovely Inkadinkadoo reindeer stamp, inked with versafine onyx black and heat embossed with detail black powder.. Various offcuts were used, including the piece of embossed shiny black card. The greeting tag was from an unknown set I purchased long ago and the little black flowers were cut from some sticky ribbon.

CCAYR September challenge: use leaves


This is my design card for Christmas cards all year round September challenge: use leaves. I'm in the Christmas Belles group so we are posting here today - please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the Belles group. The Gingerbread gals posted at the beginning of September here - please have a look at their lovely designs and join in our challenge there.

For my card I used The Holly and the Ivy sheet music, stamping randomly around the edges using an old Tanda Stamps holly stamp and a couple of Anita's ivy stamps (love the long one - very useful for this kind of card), colouring with spectrum noir pends. This is an A5 size card.

This is one of those clean and simple cards that wasn't that simple to make ... a few tries at getting the sheet music the right size and in the centre and two or three goes at getting the right balance with the random stamping, including off the edge on to scrap paper. I was quite satisfied with the final version.

Penny's challenge 346


This is my design card for Penny's challenge 346, where the theme is anything goes. Please click on the link to see the lovely designs by the rest of the team and we hope you will join in with your entries.

I used the lovely Lemon Shortbread summer tropics island flower girl (Lemon Shortbread are sponsoring the challenge), colouring with spectrum noir pens and cutting with a todo cross hatch die, using a larger one to cut a scrap piece of lovely shiny paper with tiny dots. The gem studded bows, flowers and sentiment from stash and the background paper was part of a magazine freebie. The card blank is A5 size opening tent style.

CHNC challenge 350


This is my card for my CHNC challenge 350 - please click on the link to see what it's all about and I hope you will join in with the challenge - it makes sense to get on with Christmas creations while there is plenty of time to enjoy doing so without any panic ... although time is rushing by because we are now getting well into September already.

The optional theme for CHNC challenge 350 is 'add some flowers or foliage'... but anything  goes as long as it's Christmas.

For my card I used some sparkly, shiny Papermania Christmas background paper (purchased a few years ago) - offcut left over from a 12 x 12 paper. The lovely Robyn's Fetish image, penguin Paul sleighing, was coloured with spectrum noir pens and mounted on to an upcycled piece of foiled card. The strip of embossed card beneath it was from my offcuts box. Glittered poinsettias were from Hobbycraft (need to get some more ... if they still sell them).

Penny's challenge 345


This is my design card for Penny's challenge 345, where the theme is anything goes. Please click on the link to see the lovely designs by the rest of the team and we hope you will join in with your entries.
I used the lovely Delicious doodles gladioli image, kindly supplied by them as one of the sponsors of the challenge.I lightly coloured small areas with spectrum noir pens and highlighted with glossy accents, cutting out the image with one of my 'go to' dies, X-cut rectangular parenthesis, using a larger one for the shiny lime green mat. The background paper is a piece I found in my offcuts box and the panel on the left was a piece left from upcycling a stationery wallet.
