CCAYR March challenge: flowers

This is my design card for Christmas crafts all year round March challenge: flowers. I'm in the Christmas Belles group so we are posting here today - please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the Belles group. The Gingerbread gals posted at the beginning of March here - please have a look at their lovely designs and join in our challenge there.

This was a commissioned card made in December, but not blogged. The background paper  and sentiment is from a lovely Craftwork Cards Christmas past collection. The sentiment was computer generated, printed on to Centura pearl white card with a hint of silver - I quickly covered with silver detail embossing powder and heated. This was cut and embossed with a todo die. Concertina folded flowers, crocheted flowers, pearls and wooden star and heart were added from stash.

Penny's challenge 371

This is my design card for Penny's challenge 371 - please click on the link to see the lovely crafting by the rest of the team and we hope you will join in our 'anything goes' challenge.

For my card I used Cute as a button Beach holiday, kindly supplied by them as one of the sponsors. Papers are from my offcuts box. I coloured the image with spectrum noir pens and die cut with a Spellbinders scalloped circle. Puffed bits and pieces were added.

This should have gone live last Wednesday, but things have been difficult with mum being critically ill and dying and John still in St Thomas hospital. However, I'm showing this as if it was done on the correct day to keep continuity with the DT challenge blog.

For my card I used Lemon Shortbread girl with book, kindly supplied by them as one of the sponsors of the challenge. I coloured the image in Microsoft Paint and fussy cut around the print out. All pieces of paper were from my offcuts box,sentiment circle from Hunkydory and flowers from Hobbycraft. Unfortunately, colours haven't come out very well on the photo.

For my Easter card I used an embossed card blank from Create and Craft brushed with seedless preserves distress ink. The image was stamped with one of the lovely Papermania Moments of Faith, colouring with spectrum noir and cutting with a todo die. The sparkly washi tape is from stash, flowers from Hobbycraft and sentiment cut from an old Easter card received a couple of years ago.

A bit more time to craft EXTRA March challenge

For my card I used three of Lozzy's vintage love papers - you can see Lozzy's lovely papers here - so many delightful papers - and you have the chance to win some by entering the challenge.

The stamped image is Penny Black sparklers (one of my all-time favourites) inked with memento rich cocoa. I used the tip of this stamp to repeatedly stamp at the top and bottom. I added an offcut scrap of glittered strip, burlap birds and the offcut piece of floral border from stash.

A bit more time to craft challenge 63

For my 8 x 8  card I used four of Lozzy's Joy papers - you can see Lozzy's lovely papers here - and you have the chance to win some by entering the challenge.

I stamped around the edge of the main background paper using a lovely Magenta floral stamp inked with memento grape jelly. The flowers are from a Docrafts Papermania capsule range - I have lots of these in various collections and have always been a bit stumped as to how to use them as they are all the same diameter. Recently, I've started to chop down some of the petals so that I can layer the blooms - I love the look of them like that. I added a tiny flower in the centres and added the glittered acetate butterflies from Hobbycraft and the sentiments.

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper March 2018 challenge

This is my design card for my Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper March 2018 challenge - please click on the link to see the inspirational designs by my team and we hope you will join in our challenge using some patterned paper.

This 8" x 8" card was made using paper and flowers from Docrafts Papermania Parisienne blue capsule collection - the prize for the challenge this month is an 8" x 8" paper pack from this collection. The flowers are from a Docrafts Papermania capsule range - I have lots of these in various collections and have always been a bit stumped as to how to use them as they are all the same diameter. The lovely floral image is a Magenta stamp inked with memento Paris dusk, matted on to an offcut of pearlescent dark blue card. Ribbons, pearls and greeting from stash.

Penny's challenge 369

For my card I used A Day for Daisies lady hat feathers, they are one of the sponsors of the challenge. The very lightly checked piece of background card is an unknown piece, on to which I put a piece of Hot off the press paper pizzazz (a paper pad that I bought years ago and still comes in handy). I coloured the image with spectrum noir and copic pens, die cutting with one of the Spellbinder's marvelous squares, matting on to a lace paper panel from the Papermania midnight blush collection. The silver glittered strips with gems were from The Works and the flowers from Hobbycraft.

A simple 8 x 8 card made with part of a page upcycled from a Daphne's Diary edition, with the lovely swirl of rhinestones - I particularly like the coloured sparkle between the rows of swirls, like leaves (can't remember where this came from) and the Craftwork cards sentiment.

A get well wish

A quick, simple card made with some offcuts of patterned paper, a piece of trim on the leg and the picture upcycled from a card received - this is embossed, so has a lovely feel to it - the sentiment was upcycled too.

Black and white Christmas

A card made with supplies from an unknown kit that I've had for ages. I had to take the photo at a strange angle otherwise I was getting glare from the glitter on the present on the left and the tree.

Chalkboard birthday

This is a commissioned card for a granddaughter who is training to be a teacher. I thought that the chalkboard  digital image was appropriate, digitally adding Dear Sarah on to it before printing out. The sticker elements are a mix of some from Poundland and some Jolee's. As you can see this is a tent style A5 card blank.

I used the lovely Maria Medel's married couple kissing which I coloured in Microsoft Paint for my A5 tent opening wedding card.The paper was included with a Tattered Lace magazine. Ribbon, lace and hearts from Hobbycraft with the addition of the wedding banner and bows on the bride were from stash.
