A commissioned card for mother

This is a commissioned card that was made for mother's day, using card  and borders from Hunkydory, including the panel used to print and emboss the sentiment, with the band of three gem width creating a bling border, with the bling sparkly bow from The Works.

The image was stamped with memento tuxedo black using the lovely Magenta rose stamp, coloured with spectrum noir pink and purple glitter pens.

Happy anniversary

I used the cover of a shaped card to mat  on to a white card blank, adding another shape underneath the picture of the couple which was upcycled from a notebook, adding the sentiments.

Commissioned 60th birthday card

This is a comissioned birthday card using an 8 x 8 card black on to which I put some pearlescent gold card embossed with vertical ridges, with an offcut panel of card with embossed holographic hearts, and a mirror card offcut panel that had been embossed with a folder. The lovely Magenta rose stamp was inked with versamark and embossed with detail silver paper. It was stamped on to an offcut of lemon patterned paper which was then matted on to another offcut. Butterflies and shiny embossed flowers were added, as well as the sentiment panel and the numerals.

With deepest sympathy at this difficult time

This is a commissioned  sympathy card that I was asked to make a while ago. The background was created on lilac paper randomly stamping one of my favourite Penny Black stamps called sparklers inked with memento grape jelly. I also stamped with the Penny Black butterfly edge stamp, also inked with the grape jelly. The panel with the lilies was upcycled from an old card, the ribbon with tiny silver studs was from Hobbycraft. I added the sentiment circle and the butterflies with 3D wings from Docrafts.

Happy birthday daughter-in-law

This is a commissioned card for a friend to give to her daughter-in-law. I used backing card and elements from Kanban, cutting the easel, mat and side floral piece using a Die'sire create-a-card floral easel set from Crafter's Companion. The floral piece was cut from a pearlescent card. I added lace and ribbon to the base with the sentiments to act as a stopper.

Unfortunately, the photos don't show the lovely copper foiling on the butterflies - much better irl.

Happy 60th birthday

I'm trying to get back into the habit of blogging more.

So this is a commissioned card for a 60 year old  son-in-law, a musician who likes cats. I created the background digitally using the Memory music from Cats with the piano keyboard, the large treble clef, glittered notes stickers etc,  including the lovely sprays of leaves and flowers. This was printed and stuck on to the 8 x 8 scalloped edge card blank.. The piano, cello and cats were stickers and sentiment pieces from stash.

For my card I used an offcut piece of card that is much nicer than it looks in the photo - has some foiling on it. The die cut circle was made using a Spellbinders die with an offcut piece from the Basic Grey Scarlet Letter collection. The circle topper is from Hobby House with a silver foiled greeting from stash.

Golden wedding anniversary

This is a commissioned card using Kanban foiled supplies and letters and numerals from The Works. The heart was chipboard that was swiped with versamark and heat embossed with gold powder three times.

All of the foiling on the card, including the corners, is gold, although here most of it looks black.

A summer birthday

I used to blog a lot ... in fact, now I wonder how I had the time to do so. My husband, John, died in November and since then I've only been blogging my own challenges. It's strange that I've actually had more time to do things, but just couldn't bring myself to share. I've still been crafting ... mainly commissioned cards ... lots of them, so I still have plenty to share.

So, here I am blogging a card that is nothing to do with my own challenges. I hope this is the start of more to come ... trying to get myself going into the right groove again.

CHNC challenge 444

My card was very difficult to photograph because of the foiled background card from Hunkydory, on to which I added a strip of embossed mirror card using the lovely star of wonder embossing folder, using up a scrap piece of mirror card. I actually made this for last Christmas for my brother and sister-in-law, but didn't get round to blogging  it, but thought it was appropriate for today's challenge. I upcycled the piece of card in the middle, adding some washi tapes and snowflakes - 3D and glittered stickers.

CHNC challenge 443

This is my design cards for my CHNC challenge 443 -  please click on the link to find out what it's all about and I hope you'll be able to join in with your Christmas designs - anything goes as long as it's Christmas with the optional theme of 'use some washi tape'.

For my card I used a patterned snowflake paper, with snowflake stickers and glittered greeting from Hobbycraft, a lovely deer cut from a tag and some washi tape from Poundland, mounted on to a blue card blank.
