CHNC challenge 553

This is my design card for my CHNC challenge 553 -  please click on the link to find out what it's all about and I hope you'll be able to join in with your Christmas designs - anything goes as long as it's Christmas with the optional theme of  'include a reindeer'.

I used a DL side opening card, covering with an offcut of Hunkydory6 card with a piece of trim down the left hand side. I coloured the wooden reindeer with an alcohol pen which I also used on the Kanban sentiment oval, adding a red gem on one of the reindeer and a piece of washi tape across the bottom.

CHNC challenge 552

This is my design card for my CHNC challenge 552 -  please click on the link to find out what it's all about and I hope you'll be able to join in with your Christmas designs - anything goes as long as it's Christmas with the optional theme of  'use some twine or ribbon'.

For my card I used a DL tent opening card blank on to which I adhered some red mirror card. I embossed a piece of green adorable scoreable from Hunkydory using the lovely holly and berries slimline die from Lisa Horton, using some silver gems that I coloured red with an alcohol marker for the berries, having wrapped some twine around and added the sentiment from one of Lisa Horton's festive word sheets.

CHNC challenge 551

This is my design card for my CHNC challenge 551 -  please click on the link to find out what it's all about and I hope you'll be able to join in with your Christmas designs - anything goes as long as it's Christmas with the optional theme of  'use a die cut or punch'.

I cut into a green card blank with Die'sire create-a-card traditional wreath dies creating an aperture and adding the inside piece to red card, adding the sentiment circle, the Season's Greetings cut from some Lisa Horton sentiments and the poinsettias.

Wedding day

A while ago I was asked to make a wedding day card for a daughter getting married. I was given the link to the booked venue and used a photo from there, digitally changing the middle a bit - in the end the venue had to be changed because of Covid, but I was told that it was similar and so the card was still appropriate. I downloaded the free hearts image from here, adding it digitially and then printed out and adding with foam to give a bit of dimension. The names and date etc were added digitally before printing out and adding to a pink background on an 8 x 8 card blank, adding the sentiment circle from Kanban.


I made a double insert using various papers from my stash  (very difficult to show here), this one covering a striped paper with pink vellum and adding the hearts and sentiment panel:

CHNC challenge 550

This is my design card for my CHNC challenge 550 -  please click on the link to find out what it's all about and I hope you'll be able to join in with your Christmas designs - anything goes as long as it's Christmas with the optional theme of  'use some red'.

I embossed some red mirror card using a large folder that I've had for ages (cut from the same piece as used for CHNC challenge 549 for last week), adding the grosgrain ribbon, the sentiment and the wooden skates from The Works (a couple of years ago).

CHNC challenge 549

This is my design card for my CHNC challenge 549 -  please click on the link to find out what it's all about and I hope you'll be able to join in with your Christmas designs - anything goes as long as it's Christmas with the optional theme of  'for a man or a boy'.

I embossed some red mirror card using a large folder that I've had for ages. The die cuts used for Happy Christmas were made with dies from Lisa Horton using a piece of red mirror mounted on to silver mirror.

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper July 2021 challenge

This is my design card for my Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper July 2021 challenge. If you make anything that includes some patterned paper you can link your entries and you might be the randomly chosen winner of the lovely prize that I'm giving away. This was a commissioned 8 x 8 card. I stamped the background randomly with a handbag and shoes Docrafts stamp, colouring with spectrum noir pens. The paper panel is from an A5 Kanban pad I've had for some time. I put epoxy strips either side and added the flowers from Hobbycraft and the Dovecraft birthday panel.

CHNC challenge 548

This is my design card for my CHNC challenge 548 -  please click on the link to find out what it's all about and I hope you'll be able to join in with your Christmas designs - anything goes as long as it's Christmas with the optional theme of  'use a snowflake or two or more'.

For my card I used a piece of patterned Hunkydory card overlaying a piece of acetate with silver foiled snowflakes, leaving the bottom of the background as a snowflake border, adding the two large foam snowlfkae and the sentiment in the middle, having secured the acetate beneath these so that no adhesive showed through.

The background paper for my card is from Dovecraft's festive wonder paper pad. The image was upcycled from a card receive, with gold poinsettias from Italian Options , a sentiment label and two strips of washi tape.

It was my niece's silver anniversary yesterday, so this is the card I sent them both, using Kanban supplies which included the lovely black with silver foiling card (shame the foiling doesn't show here), adding the 25.

Happy birthday dear niece

A commissioned 8 x 8 card to be given to a niece using background card from a kit from Create and Craft, with crocheted flowers (I didn't make them), butterflies and the sentiment printed and cut with a Spellbinders oval die, using a larger one for the mat. I used two free images (here and here) to combine to make the topper, printed and matted on to pearlescent pink card, the same as used for the sentiment mat.
