Cheerful stamp pad challenge 101: signs of Christmas

This is my design card for the Cheerful stamp pad challenge 101: signs of Christmas. Please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and we would love you to join in our challenge.

The image is a super one kindly provided by Stitchy Bear Stamps by Gingerloft called 'head first'. I digitally put this on a deep blue background and added the lyrics of the song in white. I then printed this out and coloured the image with spectrum noirs, adding some Art Institute glitter as snow. The snowflakes were punched out using some white pearlescent card and I put some quickie glue here and there to sprinkle some more of the Art Institute glitter.

Glory of Christmas challenge 48: candy canes and/or gingerbread

This is my design card for the Glory of Christmas challenge 48: candy canes and/or gingerbread. Please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and we would love you to join in our challenge.

I managed to feature both candy canes and gingerbread on my card thanks to the Cosy Christmas collection paper that I used, mounted on to mirror card before matting on to the shaped card blank, rounding the corners with a punch.

Simply layered the die cut labels, cut on the left with the lovely little gingerbread, felt button and twine.

I based the card on the sketch given for Atlantic hearts sketch 84:

Photo had to be taken slanted because there was so much reflection on the mirror card that there was either glare or a picture of me with the camera! The sentiment, of course, is also mirror card.

Completely Christmas challenge 41

This is my design card for Completely Christmas challenge 41: anything goes with a twist ... add some holly. Please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and we would love you to join in our challenge.

For my design card I used Lacy Sunshine Sammy boo caroling (Lacy Sunshine is sponsoring the challenge), coloured with spectrum noir pens and I used an oval template to tear around the edges and inked them. Papers are from a Tattered Lace magazine. The felt swirls and holly were from Hobbycraft.

Fan-tastic Tuesday challenge 64

I've used one of my favourite digital images by the sponsor, The Stamping Boutique, called 'for Santa', colouring with spectrum noir. The deep wine coloured embossed paper background is from Kaisercraft Turtle Dove pad and the matt silver embossed panel was run through the cuttlebug with a Sheena Douglass embossing folder. The image and the sentiment oval are raised up with 3D foam to give a bit more dimension to the card.

3rd card for CCAYR December challenge

This is another label shaped card which I edged with a gold pen, doing the same with the Kanban frame. In the middle of the frame is the picture of the three wise men which has been covered with a domed acetate with the same picture, so that from certain angles it looks 3D.

The label shaped black card blank was stamped randomly with a couple of snowflake stamps from the Indadinkado set - inked with versamark and heat embossed with silver detail. Other label shapes matted into the centre with another stamp inked with versamark and heat embossed with the silver detail.

CCAYR December challenge

The centrepiece of this card is a Kanban frame on to which has been matted the snowman picture with a domed acetate with the same picture over the top of it. The punched silver mirror card snowflakes were made with snippets.

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper December challenge

This is my card for my Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper December challenge - if you haven't discovered this yet, please click on the link to read what it is all about and join in the fun.

I bought two packs of A pack of Old Treasures 8 x 8 papers - 12 designs x 2 sheets 160 gsm so that I could use paper from one of them and give the other one as the prize for the challenge.

CHNC challenge extra for December 2014

I can't quite get my head around the fact that this is 1 December - only just over three weeks to Christmas. I've been making Christmas cards throughout the year, but, apart from that, I've done nothing else in preparation for Christmas. I think I must get organised this week if presents and cards are going to be sent in time, although most of the presents are gift cards, so that does make it simpler.

Anyway, I digress. The main reason for this post is to show the card that I made for today's CHNC challenge extra for December 2014 - I would love to see your Christmas creations there - anything goes, as long as it's for Christmas.

These challenges are always sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps and I used their Christmas words - angel image, which I coloured digitally in Microsoft Paint. I matted on to an offcut of gold glitter paper and used another piece to back the corrugated strip. The flower was from Hobbycraft.

Silver bells

It was Asha's turn to choose the theme for this fortnight's CCC challenge and she said:

'It's Advent Sunday, and the countdown to Christmas begins now. The theme of the challenge is
"Silver Bells", inspired by the famous carol. Create a Christmas project based on this festive tune.'

I found some free sheet music of the carol and digitally added the bells and the street scene, fading them around the edges because I didn't want them to have white rectangles on the music. After printing, I coloured the bells silver.
