Let's see some purple

That's the twist for Fan-tastic Tuesday challenge 71: anything goes with a twist ... let's see some purple. I love crafting with purple, so I enjoyed putting together this card digitally. I used Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet Sentiments birthday word art image, a background of lots of hearts and a strip taken from purple hearts small stars. Cheerful stamp pad challenge 104: springtime

This is my design card for week 1 of the Cheerful stamp pad challenge 104: springtime. Please click on the link to see the lovely designs of the rest of the team and join in our challenge.

I've used Sweet Pea Stamps 'peachy pink fairy' digi by Ching Chou Kuik colouring with spectrum noir pens., with Art Institute glitter with quickie glue pen on to the wings. This was cut out with a deckle edged nestie die and brushes on the edges with tattered rose distress ink.The background papers are from my offcuts box and the panel behind the image was made by a mask and acrylic paint with my gelli plate. I added various pieces of washi tape and flowers from Hobbycraft.

Another red and white card for CCAYR February

For my second design card for CCAYR February challenge, I stamped one of my favourite Christmas stamps, Santa collage by Rubber Stampede, simply inked with versafine onyx black. All papers are from my offcuts boxes, including the piece with the sentiment.

CCAYR February challenge

This is my first design team card for Christmas cards all year round February challenge: red and white. Please click on the challenge link to see the lovely designs of the rest of the team and we would love to see your red and white entries.

I used a large A5 landscape opening card blank, standing tent style. The background paper is from a Docrafts Papermania pad. I wrapped a piece of chipboard with some lovely organza material which is a sheer white with red foiled trees - I've had this for ages and ages (thought it was too good to use, but its silly keeping it in the box - and at least I still have some more of it). The sentiments are from an Anna Griffin kit.

For my design card I used the Kenny K love bug image kindly supplied by one of the sponsors, colouring with spectrum noir pens and Buckwell Craft Supplies 15 mm double sided red satin ribbon., kindly supplied by Buckwells as sponsors.

I used a 'postage stamp' shaped card blank, distressing with victorian velvet ink and cut the image with a Spellbinders 'postage stamp' die, brushing with victorian velvet distressing ink before releasing from the die. Hearts were from Hema.

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper February challenge

It's time for another challenge on my Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper blog - I hope to see you there during February with your creations using some of your patterned paper.

Why is it that I have stacks of patterned paper (the reason why I started the challenge blog in the first place ... to try and use more of it) ... and then I still go out and buy more? I recently bought some Docrafts Papermania Capsule Collection Parisienne Blue papers ... two packs, one for me and one to give as a prize for Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper February challenge - you've got to be in it to win it ... the winner will be randomly picked.

For my card I used a variety of papers from the pack of Docrafts Papermania Capsule Collection Parisienne Blue with some matching washi tapes, an accordion flower with button and a birthday sentiment. The stamped image is one of my favourite Penny Black stamps 'letters and flowers' inked with memento Paris dusk.

CHNC challenge 214: something beginning with B ...

No, we're not exactly playing I-spy, but for my CHNC challlenge 214 I'd like to see Christmas creations featuring something beginning with B. Please click on the link to find out more about the challenge and the super prizes that will be won by randomly chosen winners.

I prepared the blogpost for my CHNC challenge 214 a while ago, but I hadn't actually made anything to show and, with John in hospital this week, time for crafting has been very limited. So I decided to dig out some cards that I'd received and kept with the intention of recycling some of the bits - the idea was to make a quick card, but in the end I made three quick cards, all featuring things beginning with the letter B.

For the first one I mounted the cut off from an old card on to a piece of snowflake paper left over from a previous make and added the tartan bow so I have used bear, bows, box, bobble:

For the next card I used a piece of Anna Griffin card with lovely sparkling glittery snowflakes, using the lovely robin image recycled - this, as well, is very glittered - and I added the silver bow and sentiment. So this card has brown, bird, bow, berries, boughs, branches - this one is also for Catch the bug photo inspiration:

And then I used an offcut of checked paper for the background and simply mounted the lovely recycled picture, adding the ribbon and bow down the side. So this card has bicycle (not very common on Christmas cards) and bow.

The Glory of Christmas challenge 51

I've used both spots and stripes, using up an offcut of striped DCWV paper and also a piece of spotted paper that was free with a magazine. I thought that I would leave the Inkadinkadoo nativity scene stamp without colouring, die cut with Docrafts xcut rectangle parenthesis dies. Ribbon is from Hobbycraft.

CHNC challenge 213: Joy to the world

The theme for my CHNC challenge 213 for this week is 'Joy to the world', which can be interpreted how you wish. Please click on the link for more information and to also see the gorgeous cards made by my guest designers from Sweet Pea Stamps.

For my design card I used the lovely Conie Fong's snowy - joy to the world digi image by Sweet Pea Stamps, one of the sponsors, lining this up into the O of the Joy to the world Clarity stamp that I inked with versamark and heat embossed with detail copper powder. This was then die cut with one of the Spellbinder's 'marvellous squares' (I do love that die set - so versatile), brushed with Victorian velvet distress ink before releasing from the die. Papers are from a Tattered Lace magazine.

Cheerful stamp pad challenge 103: Valentine

This is my design card for the Cheerful stamp pad challenge 103: Valentine. Please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and join in the challenge.

I used the Concetta Kilmer's owl hearts digital image from Sweet Pea Stamps. The background of my card was created by overlaying a piece of vellum printed with roses on to a piece of paper with red hearts - I like the way the vellum muted the red colour. The corners were secured with some mulberry paper hearts and a piece of red, white and silver ribbon wrapped around the middle. The sentiment was generated on my dymo letratag.
