Mid-month inspiration for CHNC challenge extra for August

Fan-tastic Tuesday challenge 98

This is my design card for Fan-tastic Tuesday challenge 98: anything goes with a twist ... include a butterfly. Please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and join in our challenge.

I used Sparkle n sprinkle Eve's sunflower kindly supplied by the sponsor of the challenge, colouring which chameleon pens. The butterfly is an acetate one that looks much better and glittery in real life. The background paper is one that I've had for a long time and the sentiment is an embossed rub on.

The Glory of Christmas challenge 65: silver or gold

This is my design card for the Glory of Christmas challenge 65: silver or gold. Please click on the link to join in the challenge and to see the lovely designs of the rest of the team.

I have used silver and gold on my card, using a black shaped card blank which some silver glittered snowflakes randomly around the edges, with three layers of decreasing sizes die cuts, the middle one being gold mirror card on to which I stuck the lovely Bethlehem scene that was rescued from a card received, cut down and corners rounded - there's quite a lot of gold foiling on the picture.

CHNC challenge 241: something beginning with S

For my CHNC challenge 241 this week I'm asking to see things beginning with S - I hope you will click on the link to see the lovely prizes that will be won  randomly chosen and join in the challenge.

For my card I used the lovely All Dressed Up 'little skater' that was kindly supplied by one of the sponsors, colouring digitally in Microsoft Paint and then printing and die cutting using one of the Spellbinders marvelous squares, adding a silver snowflake brad. I thought it would make a change to use a tent style card with a scalloped edge, adding some torn paper for snow and the sentiment pieces down the side which were generated on my dymo letratag.

I've including these things beginning with S: scallops, snow (torn paper), silver snowflake, skater, skirt, striped socks, sentiment ... don't think there are any more!

For my card I used Lacy Sunshine Azore Rainyshine fairy princess kindly supplied by the sponsor of the challenge, mounting this on to a piece of embossed matt silver card and then on to some striped paper that I've had for ages, with an offcut of pink pearlescent card run through the eBosser with the floral vine em bossing folder. Flowers were from Hobbycraft and the sentiment panel Kanban.

Keep calm and eat cupcakes

This is my design card for the second week of Cheerful stamp pad challenge 117 - please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and you can join in the challenge here.

I printed out the lovely Little Blue Button 'Miss Lilly big cupcake' image kindly supplied by the sponsor. I coloured with spectrum noir and used some glossy accents to make the cherry shine and some ice stickles glitter glue around the icing swirls. The pink floral paper is an offcut that I've had for ages, spotted ribbon from Hobbycraft and the Keep Calm saying was made using keepcalm-o-matic.

Let's create and craft challenge 104

This is my design card for Let's create and craft challenge 104: pearls or lace. Please click on the link to see the lovely designs of the rest of the team and join in our challenge.

I decided to use both pearls and lace, the delicate cream lace being a rub on. I stamped part of one of my favourite Stampington 'Leonardo' stamp inked with memento rich cocoa, carefully dropping the die cut oval on to the inked stamp in the right place.The oval and the surrounding die cut were part of a prize I received recently. Ribbon and pearls from stash. The paper on the left is an offcut of K & Co paper from long ago.

Cheerful stamp pad challenge 117: anything goes

This is my design card for the Cheerful stamp pad challenge 117: anything goes, sponsored by Little Blue Button Stamps. Please click on the link to see the lovely designs of the rest of the team and we would love to see your entries for the challenge.

For my card I used the lovely 'dream Charlie' image kindly supplied by the sponsor, Little Blue Button. I coloured this with spectrum noir pens and tore the oval around a perspex template, using a larger one for the surrounding oval torn from an offcut of spotted paper. The main background paper is an offcut piece of DCWV, with the addition of the chipboard sentiment and flowers from Hobbycraft.

A bit more time to craft

My card is one that I was commissioned to make for a 12 year old who, like most his age, is interested in techie things!

The background is from a Kanban sentiments book of cards and the pictures are all old Kanban photo toppers that I've had waiting for the right reason to come along to use them. The band across the bottom was taken from a mouse pad paper pad from Wilkinson's.

I used the Pickled Potpourri Designs 'tail feathers' image, kindly supplied by the challenge sponsor, colouring with chameleon pens. The background paper was a couple of scrap pieces from my offcuts box (originally from a magazine, I think) and I used DCWV ribbons top and bottom and the sentiment generated on my dymo letratag.

CHNC challenge extra for August 2015

Feminine friendship

The friendship quote with graphics is Bugaboo Stamps Friendship sentiment, kindly supplied by Bugaboo as sponsors the the challenge. Everythign else used was free clipart pngs that were easy to add to the main friendship silhouette one. The silhouette was originally black on brown, but I changed the colours.

CHNC challenge 239: Ho! Ho! Ho!

This is my card for my CHNC challenge 239: Ho! Ho! Ho! Please click on the link to see what this is about and join in the Christmas fun with your entries.

For my one layer CAS card I've used one of my favourite Santa stamps bt Hero Arts inked with memento tuxedo black and filled in with a poppy red embossing pen for Santa's hat, heat embossed with WOW! detail clear gloss powder, then using a clear embossing pen to 'colour' in the fur on Santa's hat and his beard and embossed with WOW! metallic medley powder. The Ho Ho Ho stamp was from Hobbycraft. I dotted in places with quickie glue and then sprinkled with Chloe's sparkelicious glitter.

However much I tried I couldn't get a photo that showed the card as it actually is - this is the best I could do and below you can see a close up showing the embossing and glitter a bit better:

Ice cream shades

This is my design card for Suzy Bee's Bloomin' challenge 90: anything goes with a twist ... use some ice cream shades - I'm thinking pistachio, mint, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, strawberry ... yes, I know that's a lot of flavours, but I love a lot of them! I used the lovely ballet image supplied by Dazzling Ace Designs as sponsor of the challenge, digitally layering on to the lovely ballet shoes background, making the edges of the ballerina image soft to blend in. I then added the quote.
