Late for More mixed media challenge 9: anything goes with optional black


This is my design for More mixed media challenge 9: anything goes with optional black. I apologise to Lozzy and my teamies that this is late ... it would have been a bit earlier, but I had to wait for everything to dry. Please click on the challenge link to see the wonderful designs of other team members ... and we hope you will join in with your mixed media creations ... remember it's an option to use black, but not compulsory.

So I got it done at last (had lots of fun with it). Difficult to get a photo because of shiny black card. I wasn't happy at first because when I started to add Imagination crafts diamond sparkle medium through the Creative expressions stencil with a stencil brush it was hard for it to adhere to the shiny black card (wish I'd used matt), but in the end I rather like how it turned out - a bit more realistic I think than if the trees were totally covered. 'Believe' craft+ word was from The Works, brushed with white gesso and sprinkled with Chloe's sparkelicious glitter. Words computer generated and printed and digital Santa image.

Let's craft and create challenge 119: winter

Papers are from the Basic Grey eskimo kisses pad, the four delightful squares of snowmen are from a Kanban kit bought ages ago (and forgotten about), with washi tape added.

Commissioned card based on Die cuttin divas challenge 290 sketch


This is a card I was asked to make for an 80th birthday, to include a shoe - Tattered lace high heel glam die cut from the typically Tattered Lace USB 3USB 3 cut on my Scan n Cut,   using a scrap of mirror card. Background paper and that used in the middle of the Nellie Snellen mirror card die cut mat is a piece of Anna Griffin that I've had for ages. Small scraps of The English Paper company paper were used for the corners. Flowers from Poundland.

Penny's challenge 302: anything goes


This is my design card for Penny's challenge 302 - please click on the link to see the lovely designs of the rest of the team and we hope to see your entries for the challenge.

I used Digital Paper Craft Girl with plaits - Gracie, kindly supplied by DPC as one of the sponsors of the challenge. I coloured with spectrum noir (some of the new illustrator ones). Papers are offcuts and I cut and embossed the image and the surrounding mat using Xcut rectangular parenthesis dies (I love these). I added offcuts of ribbons, not long enough to go the complete length, so I added the pretty organza and gems bows and the happy birthday greeting.

Crafting musketeers 43: Christmas wishes


This is my design card for Crafting musketeers challenge 43: Christmas wishes - please click on the link to see the designs of the rest of the team and we hope you will join in our challenge.

I used the lovely Sunsational Christmas wishes kindly supplied by them as sponsor of the challenge, colouring the image with spectrum noir pens and mounting on to a sparkly offcut of Anna Griffin paper. I used a scrap piece of K & Company paper for the background, with a strip of scrap and some gingham tape across the top. The lovely grosgrain ribbon at the bottom was from Crafty Ribbons.

Love to craft challenge 4: November anything goes


This is my design card for Love to craft challenge 4 - please click on the link to see the lovely crafting by the rest of the team ... and we hope you will join in our challenge.

The card was one that I was commissioned to make. The background paper is a piece from a wallpaper sample - it has a lovely soft feel about it, with embossing and silver foiling. I swiped the border of the top piece with versamark and heat embossed with silver. All elements from stash, including the lovely organza ribbons from Hobbycraft and the craftime flowers. The swans that meet in a heart shape have been in my stash for years (still have one or two more) - good opportunity to use them.

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper November 2016 challenge


This is my card for my Patterned Paper November challenge - please click on the link to see the lovely designs by members of my team ... and we hope you will use some of that precious patterned paper and join in our challenge.

This was a commissioned card - I was asked to make the card for Nan who loves bingo and yellow flowers ... she loved it. The paper is Rose garden creations, the Bingo card cut from a Tim Holtz paper pack, craftime flowers, topped with the pretty rolled flowers from Poundland. Gold trim added top and bottom and sentiment generated on computer and printed.

CHNC challenge 305: anything goes as long as it's Christmas


This is my card for my CHNC challenge 305, which this week is 'anything goes as long as it's Christmas' - please click on the link to see what it's all about, including the lovely prizes to be won by randomly chosen winners ... and I hope to see lots of Christmas creations entered there.

I used a black textured card blank on to which I added a black and gold reindeer that I rescued from a card received last Christmas. I've had the die cut trees for ages and decided to use them, although I realise that they are not in proportion for the size of the reindeer ... but I think anything is possible when crafting (my excuse, anyway). Glittered gold flowers from Hobbycraft and a sentiment die cut that I've had for ages in my Christmas box.

Not a good photo, but couldn't get any better because of the glare from the foiling ... will try to get a better daytime picture.

Penny's challenge 301: anything goes


This is my design card for Penny's challenge 301 - please click on the link to see the lovely designs by the rest of the team and we hope you will join in our challenge.

I used Little Blue Button's Eris on the sleeping bear, kindly supplied by them as one of the sponsors of the challenge. I coloured with spectrum noir, using a quickie glue pen and Art Institute glitter on the 'fur' on Eris. I cut and embossed with a favourite Xcut rectangular parenthesis die, using a larger one to cut and emboss some holographic red stars card. The background paper is Kaisercraft Merry & Bright and the sentiment, pleated card and ric rac ribbon from stash.

CHNC challenge 304: use a sentiment

I used one of Lozzy's lovely digital papers (you can see them here), printing out and matting on to a piece of Kanban card. The image is one of many glittered ones that I bought in a pack long ago ... and I still have lots more to use. Flowers and ribbon from Christmas stash.

Penny's challenge 300: Halloween

I apologise to Penny's team for my lateness in writing and publishing this blogpost, but John has been unwell again today and plans changed a bit.

Anyone who knows me well will know that I don't 'do' Halloween, but I didn't want to let Penny's down, so I decided to make a bit of a fun card that says Bah! humbug! to the whole thing.

The image was kindly given by Sparkle n Sprinkle, one of the sponsors of the challenge. I coloured this with spectrum noir pens, mounted on to an offcut of yellow paper and on to the background paper from a Tattered Lace magazine.

CHNC challenge 303: cute or anything goes as long as it's Christmas


It's Saturday, so that means that there is a new challenge on my Christmas weekly blog - CHNC challenge 303: cute or anything goes as long as it's Christmas.

This is my card using the lovely cute Robyn's Fetish chip the penguin image kindly supplied by them as one of this week's sponsors. I coloured with spectrum noir pens and die cut and embossed using a todo die. I added some Art Institute glitter on to the penguin's hat and also around the rim of the sentiment circle. The background card is Hunkydory and the lovely glittered snowflakes were from The Works (wish I'd bought more than one pack because there were none in the store when I went in yesterday ... would like to buy some more).

CHNC challenge 302: colour: turquoise/aqua ... a little or a lot


This is my card for my CHNC challenge 302 - please click the link to find out what it's about ... and I hope you will join in.

I used  the lovely snowman with bird image from Beccy's place snowman set, kindly given by Beccy as one of this week's sponsors. I coloured with spectrum noir pens and mounted on to some aqua card, using a couple of aqua snowflake papers and various other bits and pieces. I had a hard job to get a photo of this card as my camera just wouldn't open ... thought the battery must be dead, but plugged in and nothing was happening ... still couldn't open ... I think it is officially dead. So I took the photo on mobile ... and I won't bore you with the process of then getting it on to here.
