Penny's challenge 309: anything goes

This is my design card for Penny's challenge 309: anything goes - please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and we hope you will join in the challenge. Please note that there will be no challenge next week, but we'll be back on 3 January 2017.

For my card I used the lovely Bugaboo Stamps Raggedy angel - lay on star (Bugaboo are sponsoring the challenge). The image was mounted on to an offcut square of mirror card. The background paper is from Kaisercraft twig & berry paper pad - the paper is lovely and touch and feely with flocking. Sentiment tag from The Works and glittered gold poinsettias from Hobbycraft.

CHNC challenge 312: cute or anything goes as long as it's Christmas

This is my design card for my CHNC challenge 312 - it seems unreal that the next challenge will start on Christmas Eve! This year has flown by - it doesn't seem long ago that I was saying the same kind of thing a year ago. And I find it quite incredible that at the end of this year I will have been running my weekly CHNC challenges for six years!

Back to the card that I've made for this week's challenge, using the cute Robyn's Fetish chip the penguin kindly supplied by them as one of the sponsors.

I coloured the image digitally and then printed and cut out. The backing paper is from The colours of Christmas vintage pad from The Works, which was mounted on to a piece of red sparly card and then on to a glossy red card blank. I added washi tape across the bottom, black and white sentiment strips from an old Making Cards freebie and little penguins from Paperchase.

The background paper of my card is from an Elegant Christmas pad from Poundland. The image is Bugaboo Stamps penguin joy (Bugaboo are sponsoring the CCAYR December challenge). The felt and glittered penguins are from stash (think they came from The Works, but not sure).

The background of my card is a Hunkydory offcut and the image is Lacy Sunshine Reggie - Christmas Bells, kindly supplied by them as sponsor of the challenge. I coloured the image with spectrum noir pens and added some snowflakes, the sentiment circle and the lovely felt dog - and a sprinkle of Art Institute glitter.

CHNC challenge 311: colour: grey or silver ... a little or a lot

In the last couple of weeks I've had to make lots of Christmas cards. This isn't because I don't make them early enough because I make Christmas cards throughout the year, which is why I started my CHNC weekly challenges six years ago - to encourage me to make cards throughout the year and, hopefully, to encourage others too.

The problem is that, although I make lots and lots of Christmas cards, I end up selling most of them to raise money for charities and then have the job of making quick cards in December for us to send.

So, for my CHNC challenge 311, I'm showing three quick cards that I made that all feature some silver.

This is the first one, using Hunkydory supplies with a silver strip between the two offcuts, with the addition of a chipboard greeting.

I used Lemon shortbread penguin umbrella, kindly supplied by them as one of the sponsors.  I coloured with spectrum noir pens, adding some Art Institute glitter using a quickie glue pen and die cutting and embossing with a todo die. Papers are from  Wild Rose traditional Christmas pack. The red and white snowflake circles are from Hema (unfortunately, in the photo they look almost black because of looking dark, but irl they are shiny red).

More mixed media challenge - option: white

This is my design card for More mixed media challenge with the option of using white. Please click on the link to see the lovely designs by others in the team and we hope you will join in the challenge.

I used pearl alcohol ink on blue mirror card, stamping snowflakes and sentiment inked with Elzybell's sugar candy and heat embossing with detail white powder, with snowflakes and pearls added.

I'm showing two photos, neither of which give the design justice - it's obviously difficult because of the shine on the mirror card, but disappointing that the pearl alcohol ink doesn't show up here as well as irl.
