WOYWW 163

Before I get to show you my workspace I want to thank everyone for all the comments and good wishes for me. I think the shingles is gradually going, but it certainly is taking its time! At least now the pain is responding better to the painkillers and this morning was the first time that I didn't have to get up early because of the pain.

The main reason for this post, of course, is for WOYWW 163 - yes, it's the same number as last week as poor Julia got it wrong then, so easily done.

Most of what you see today has been blogged about already.

To my left you can see the black and gold card I made last night - can see it better here - was pleased with how that turned out. Behind the mug of coffee is a pile of recently made Christmas cards. I put inserts in and bagged and labelled, so I'm up to date with that. It was one of my new year's resolutions to do this every week to avoid having the dreadful job of having to bag up too many cards at once. I now have over 160 Christmas cards made, so I'm on track!

To the far left are cards that have recently been made using the My Craft Studio everyday essentials kit - just right for those days when I didn't feel up to much, but still wanted something to do.

To the right you can see the lovely Stampotique stamp that I used for the black and gold card and another pile of cards recently made. I used up quite a few decoupaged bits from the mesh box last week and have now put more in it to encourage me to use up supplies that I've had for years - I'd love to see that mesh box empty!

Once again, thanks to everyone who visits and for your comments - much appreciated - but I also understand that WOYWW is so popular now that it's difficult to get round to too many to comment. I'll try my best again this week.

  5. Hi Hazel. Your workspace looks busy as ever. I recognise some of the pieces on there. You are the most prolific crafter I know, and you have done so much good with the things you make. I am glad the shingles is slowly receding. Have a good week. Kate #131

  6. Sadly, I've noticed no matter how many supplies I use, there are still tons more that make it look like I've made no inroad at all. Glad yours are actually responsible for empty boxes. Way to go. Happy WOYWW from #6.

  8. I'm still boggled over how many cards you can get out of those My Craft Studio kits. It is just so impressive.

So every time I visit I feel a small pang of jealousy that you've been plodding along with Christmas cards this whole time. I sell A Muse stamps and just now they are coming out with their newest batch of Christmas stamps. So now I have reason to be happy I didn't start yet because I'll need the newest and the latest to make samples. Does that sound like an excuse? It probably is....

You have been one busy crafter despite not feeling well. Color me impressed! Do you think you will get that mesh box empty or do you think you'll just put more in it? It is a good goal though!

  9. That would be impressive anyway, but to have all those cards made while you're not well.....that's off the scale impressive!!
I did think today that I must start Xmas cards but that's as far as I've got :-(
Hope you continue to feel better
    Happy WOYWW

Keep arting and crafting, Hazel--art therapy is good for everyone, right?

  12. Hi hazel ... I am stunned at how you keep crafting despite your illness ... Well done honey! I grind to a halt when I'll and find it difficult to achieve anything!

I've already said via fb how stunning the black and gold card is ... Just so fab!

Also love the idea of having a box of ready made toppers, decoupage bits ready to go... Might npsteal that idea from you!

    Have fun snooping on Woyww!

  16. I'm glad to hear you are gradually recovering from the shingles, Hazel, but please do try to take it easy! It's a serious infection and you need to rest as much as possible! Anyway, it's nice to see you around, and I'm glad you feel up to doing things - please don't overdo it!!!

You've got a lovely busy desk with lots of different things going on - quite a production line!

    Happy belated WOYWW,
