Bringing home the Christmas greenery

This is my first card for the mid-month inspiration for Christmas cards all year round challenge for October 'getting ready for Christmas'. Please click on the link and see the lovely festive crafting of the rest of the team and, hopefully, join in the challenge - you still have plenty of time.

And don't forget:

'This can be anything associated with the preparations for Christmas - presents, baking, Christmas lights, trimming the tree etc.

For something a little different this month we will have two challenges running at the same time.
The first challenge will be a single card challenge and we will be drawing a random prize winner and our top three from here.

The second challenge will be for those who make a set of five cards.

You may make five cards the same or five different ones, you just need to upload a photo clearly showing five.
Now you can enter both challenges but you cannot enter one of your five cards in the single entry challenge. '

For my card I've used an offcut of Hunkydory card with the tartan border on to which I mounted an oval image of children bringing home some Christmas greenery. The tied ribbon is a piece from a lot that I bought some years ago now (sadly, not much of it left). Flowers are prima and the sentiment circle is Craftwork cards.

This is also for:

  1. Hazel,
I love the image you've used on your card. Very vintage and festive. And I can completely understand why you would be upset about not having much of that ribbon left...it's gorgeous!
Thanks so much for joining us at HIMCR this week and good luck!

  6. Beautiful card Hazel - love the image. Funny, I'm seeing loads of challenges I'd love to enter while I'm away from the craft room - always the way!

And that ribbon really is stunning, I've spotted it being carefully used by you for some time now and even though there's not much left you really have used it wisely!
