A vintage wedding card

This is my design card for Suzy Bee's Bloomin' challenge 89: anything goes with a twist ... vintage wedding card. Please click the link to the lovely crafting of others in the team and join in our challenge.

I used a Dazzling Ace Designs image supplied by them as sponsor, adhering an ornate frame over the printed image (wasn't sure about this at first, but I think it looks OK, just different). I've had the wedding vows sentiment panel for ages and thought it was just right for this card with a piece of ribbon behind (used to use ribbon like this years ago, but got out of the habit). The Mr & Mrs is a raised embossed rub on.

In the photo the card looks lighter than it is - more of a creamy ivory in real life.

This is also for:

Try is on Tuesday (Tuesday taggers): in the frame
Creative moments 72: anything goes/monochromatic
The ribbon girl: everything goes with an image
3 girl jam July: anything goes with ribbon

Craft and smash July: sentiments/emotions
Digi choosday 28: something old (sentiment panel, frame, ribbon, rub on)

Through the craftroom door: anything goes

Penny's 236: anything goes

  5. Hazel your card is beautiful. A fab idea to use the frame over the image, creates a lovely focal point. Is there any stamping on this card? Not sure if your sentiment is hand stamped? Just a reminder to be eligible for the prize at Sweet Stampin', you must have 'hand stamping' or 'digital stamping and colouring' on your card. Love to see you joining in the fun with the Sweet Stamping crew this week. Hope to see you again soon. Hugs, Wends x Sweet Stampin 'DT
