A difficult decision
It is with a heavy heart that I'm making the decision to opt out of design teams. John (husband) is still in hospital, but likely to come out very soon. In recent months I've been finding it very difficult to care for him and something's got to give.
I will continue to make cards (I need to have that outlet), but it will be at my own pace whenever I can do it, without having to meet deadlines.
As for the two challenge blogs that I run, they will continue for the time being. I am very grateful for the lovely ladies I have on the teams - they are such a great support.

Hazel, family must come first always!! I'm surprised that you have continued as long as you have with so much on your plate. You have become expert at juggling. You definitely need an outlet so your personal crafting will be a lifeline for you. I do hope John makes good progress - bu be careful to look after yourself as well. Much love Christine xx
ReplyDeleteI didn’t realize your husband was ill. Of course this is a good decision for you and your family. Sending prayers of support.
ReplyDeleteThis must have been a really difficult decision to make. I must admit that over the last few weeks I've wondered how you were managing to do so much DT work with all the other stresses in your life. I hope when things become easier for you again we'll see more of your lovely DT work again
ReplyDeleteI think it is a good decision, Hazel....family is the most important thing. Take care of yourself.

Hi Hazel, I don't know how you've kept all the balls in the air up to now. I'm sure this is the best decision for you at this time - you and John are more important than trying to keep up with design team work. I wish John a speedy recovery and do take care of yourself too. Hugs to you both. xx
ReplyDeleteTakeing care of yourself and John is the most important thing. Hope he improves and that you do have some me time to craft whatecer takes your fancy.
