90th birthday

I was commissioned to make a card for a 90th birthday and I needed to make one for me to send. For the first card I've used Lisa Horton's roses embossing folder and outline die on both cards. I brushed the background and the die cut rose with distress oxide ink . The stamped sentiment was inked with memento cottage ivy and stamped on to a piece of paper that came with Lisa's magazine, cutting again with the green mirror background, both from her Double layered sentiments set (I needed to get this done quickly so I confess I took it off the card I showed here ... I'll have to do something about the gap it's left there!) - this is for Stinkin' inkers April: recycle/reuse.

The next card is the commissioned one ... for this I used Lisa Horton's variegated leaves embossing folder brushed with distress ink and die cut the leaves and embossed using the complimentary outline dies from Lisa. I then die cut two roses using the Roses folder and die, cutting the edge off one, using red mirror card. The Happy Birthday sentiment panel was from Dovecraft.

I added the numerals on both cards.

These are also for:
