Happy birthday

For this card I used the lovely Dahlia 3D embossing folder by Lisa Horton, using pearlescent gold card, sanding the surface of the embossing to reveal the white, then using the outline die to cut and emboss the dahlia to layer with 3D foam, having swiped it with an oxide distress ink pad. The 3D felt bee is one that I've had for quite some time. Everything was then layered on to gold mirror card and a white card blank with a peel off Happy Birthday in the right hand bottom corner.

Colour for The rainbow card challenge 28: delightfully daffodil:

  2. Hi Hazel. Love this second card too. Did you use that technique from Jennifer McGuire where she sanded lightly to take a little bit of the color of the embossed parts??? I haven't had a chance to do it yet, and I like how yours turned out.
