Blossoms & butterflies


For this recently commissioned 8 x 8 anniversary card I used papers from the lovely DCWV  Blossoms & Butterflies stack. I printed the sentiment on a small piece of paper and, because it was shiny, I had time to put on some white detail embossing powder and heat. The flowers at the bottom were cut out from a second piece of the paper and decoupaged with 3D foam. Flowers and butterflies were from Hobbycraft.

21st birthday


I was commissioned to make this 21st birthday card for a lad. I used a mix of Kanban and Hunkydory supplies - the foiled card with 21 repeated was bought years ago, but still serves the purpose. The sentiments were printed and matted on to copper pearlescent card. The centre wrap piece was from Kanban. I was asked to keep it simple and flat for posting.

For a great granddaughter


I made this commissioned card a couple of days ago, using papers from Dovecraft's Kiss and make up - I love these, just right for a teenage birthday. I generated the birthday sentiment on computer and printed out on to slightly glossy paper, which gave me enough time to throw on some detail gold powder and heat emboss,  before die cutting and embossing with the todo die, using the next size up to cut and emboss a matching piece of pearlescent card. I then added various bits and pieces including the lovely Forever Friends bear.

It's summertime


Looking out of the window this morning, it doesn't look like summertime, but perhaps my card will bring a bit of cheer. The lovely caravan circle topper was from Hobby House, matted on to a shaped piece of card and then the card blank, with the addition of sentiment tag and stickers.

For a granddaughter


A commissioned card made a while ago for a granddaughter. On to the lovely turquoise textured card blank from The Works I added the lovely Anita toppers, the letters with gems, the Birthday stickers and some co-ordinating Anita flowers.

Butterfly birthday


A simple card made some time ago, with a Hunkydory oval topper and greeting layered on to an offcut of patterned card, with swirls either side, all matted on to the lovely cerise card blank - I love the colours together.

Anniversary card


An anniversary card made a while ago using a blue textured card blank, with an upcycled topper backed with copper pearlescent card which was then matted on to the offcut of paper which was then matted on to another piece of the copper card.

Just a touch of steampunk?


A card for a friend's birthday, simply made from the design background, with the addition  of the large brass 'cog' and the Dovecraft gold foiled birthday greeting. The card was in a pack with other designs and envelopes as shown.

For this card I used a black card blank layered with squares from the Crafter's Companion Downton Abbey collected, inking the kimono stamp with memento grape jelly (the stamp is one of a set bought years ago and there's no indication of the origin). I added the lovely corner pieces (can't remember where they came from).

This was commissioned for a friend to send to her grandson, who was moving: The background square on the blue card blank was from the Crafter's Companion Downton Abbey collection. The bird house was from a collection by Craftwork cards, mounted on to a dark blue square. Sentiments made on computer, printed and cut into strips.

Dress up birthday


This was made a while ago for a six-year old's birthday, using the lovely Stampendous 'dress up' inked with memento tuxedo black, stamped on to pink paper with circles (difficult to see here) and coloured with spectrum noir pens with glitter, with various offcuts of fairy fantasy papers (think they are Bo Bunny, but not sure), with the addition of the numeral and letters and birthday sentiment. Everything was matted on to a pink card blank with white circles.
